While I was in high school I went to a Mac DeMarco concert with some friends of mine. As we were waiting for the show to start we noticed a phone number taped onto a guitar case. We called and left a message, and about 5 mins later my friend gets a FaceTime call with “Mac DeMarco?” On the screen! We immediately answered and Mac was there. He said hi to all of the screaming fans and then flipped the camera and flushed a toilet in a bathroom he was standing in. It was such a flex for me when it happened and it showed just how down to earth this man is. God bless brotha

It’s sad to me that Mac has become some sort of a recluse to the public eye, because I love his music so much. But if this is what keeps his music pure to him, I’m all for it

I remember when Mac D came over to my parents place growing up, I had a house party just getting hammered and jamming, I grabbed my guitar and showed him a few things and he did the same, we had a hell of a time!

Mac seems kinda pretentious here, I gotta say it.. Not hating, its just in his tone and word selection. It's like he's a trying to be a different persona than he was before. And perhaps that's fine, not necessarily a bad thing. Just something I noticed. Subtle, but slightly... cringe. Lol
