What Paul is teaching is. If you want God to know you you. You must know Him. The more you know Him the more He will use you to accomplish His will. Paul God is using you to help strengthen me. I asked God to save me in 73. No funny business. Came to a point in my life when when I just asked God. Save me. That's it. 66 now and just beginning to be bolder in my faith. Thank you so much.

Here is one way you know you are a Christian.
"Christ is your desire. Heaven is not your desire. Christ is your desire in Heaven. And if you long to be in Heaven, it's only because Christ is there. I could go to the extreme and say, a Christian would rather be with Christ in Hell then in Heaven without Him." -Paul Washer

@@ReligiouslyIncorrectRead 2 Corinthians 13:5 , and 1 Corinthians 11:28, are two instances where we as Christians are told to examine our self's!
Also may I add, that while nothing we do or don't do saves our soul, but only through faith in Jesus Christ are we saved! With that being said, even though nothing we do or don't do can save us, when we ARE saved, we become a new creature, old things are passed away, and all things are made new! 2 Corinthians 5:17,
We are a new man with a new life in which our love for Christ does cause us to live differently than before, although it may happen very gradually, it most certainly will happen, this is Santification 1 Cor 6:11And there are things God does ask of us to aide in that Santification or making us Holy Romans 12:2, and it is an ongoing work of God in us, and because of our Santification, we can judge a tree by its fruits!
A change will happen in a Christian BECAUSE he is now saved, and if we aren't different on the inside, if we don't have a love of Christ Jesus that happens as soon as we get saved, if we can't tell a difference, than the Bible says we aren't saved an there will not be a genuine change on the outside.

The places called 'church' are mostly buildings now. 2 Timothy 3:5 is fitting for most of them. We got here because people hate God and the church was sown with tares by false teachers which God allows to show His election and grace. The people are lovers of pleasure rather than God. The only answer is to repent personally of sins and draw near God. And likely leave the dead churches and or purify them if God allows.

Paul Washer you must be right because you are so sincere! So let see from what you have been preaching I must tell ny family the un varnished true of what you say as soon as possible.
Thanks for making me a ware who god really is!
If we are honest the following is what we must teach your family.
When your children or grandchildren are old enough to be taught about God, You and your spouse must tell the truths of Calvinism to your children.
You must be honest and tell them what you believe about God:
Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved.
We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you.
Take comfort knowing that we are not like God.
We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did.
So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God?
So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you.
Please, we ask, don’t let it bother you-if you find yourself in hell-that we love the God who hated you and showed you no mercy. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases.
We must teach are children how grace filled and loving he is as soon as possible.
    TRUTH IN LOVE

I don’t understand fully what the sovereignty of God means.but I know this salvation is of the Lord.little Johnny was born in sin and without a miracle of salvation he will die and wake up in hell were he deserves to be. Be cause man does not even know Holy Holy Holy is the Lord woe is me is what every creature will say when they see God.with out his only sacrifice except able Jesus his only son creation will sing when God throws little Johnny in hell

One thing Paul fails miserably is in stating the generic understanding of what happened at the cross. He says that God poured His wrath on His Son? Really? Chapter and verse, please? Secondly, it is important to understand that God cannot and will never be against God. For the Father to be against the Son, is to open the doors for His kingdom to be divided forever.
    Matthew 12:25 (NASB95)
25 "And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.
    "
So, how come Jesus applied this verse to the devil, but at the same time did not allow it to be applied to the Holy Trinity and the kingdom of God? If God was against God, how could His kingdom survive?
    What about the following verse?
    John 16:32 (NASB95)
32 “Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
    "
So at what point did Jesus say that His own Father would abandon Him at the greatest moment of His need? Is God the Father that cruel? Is God the Father a Child abuser? Did God the Father betray His own Son at the cross?
By the way, Isaiah 53:10 does not indict the Father either,
    Isaiah 53:10 (NKJV)
10 "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
    "
Hebrew culture gets lost in the translation when it is read from the Western way of thinking. Western Society looks at this event as if God was rejoicing over the sufferings of His Son and crushed Him as if Jesus was a wretched sinner that needed to be put off His misery by stamping out on Him.

However, if we look closer at the picture of the Lamb, we see that it was men that beat Him to a pulp, it was men that crucified Him and who tormented Him, not God. Yet God did nothing about it, but neither did Jesus. It was men who put Him on a cross, it was men that cursed Him, but God did nothing about it, neither did Jesus, nor the Holy Spirit. So, in the Hebrew mentality, God was doing the crushing and the punishing because, in their minds, God was approving of this evil act by not acting on behalf of His Son.
In our Western mentality, this event gives the impression that this horrific picture looked like child abuse because the Father saw the utter humiliation of His Son and did nothing to defend Him or protect Him. Yet reality paints a completely different picture because it was not just the Father who did nothing about it. The Son and the Spirit did nothing about it either. Moreover, we do not read that the Son cried out to the Father to save Him, yet the Father was nowhere to be seen. While Jesus was on the cross, HE DID NOT PRAY TO BE DELIVERED FROM HIS OWN SUFFERING.S (See Mat 26:53)
The crushing, the beating, and the crucifixion were done by men, yet Hebrew mentality always painted God as being directly involved in the whole affair as if He was actually doing it. Their focus in this particular verse was on what God was accomplishing by the crushing of His Son by evil men, not by what was being done to Him.
Since God is completely Sovereign, the Hebrew mentality set forth the idea that God was responsible for what was happening excluding the culprits who actually took the initiative to do the damage out of pure hatred against the God that was WILLINGLY laying down His life for them.
In Mat. 27:46, the Lord cried out to Poppa for feeling forsaken (Mat 27:46), but that does not mean He had been forsaken. This is the illusion of separation. All things looked like Jesus was utterly alone because sin had the edge to make it look that way. Jesus "FELT" abandoned, He "FELT" forsaken, but the truth was that Daddy was holding Him together with a love that will not let go. I cannot possibly believe the outright lie that says that God looked the other way. Even Abraham walked with his son and did not abandon him, (Gen 22:8-9).
Can we say that Abraham was greater than the Father?
This picture of the cross truly shows us something else. What it really shows us is the incredible love of the Father toward His Son; the incredible trust of the Son toward the Father, and the incredible covenant commitment of the Spirit to bring forth the plan of redemption that began before the world was (Rev 13:8b). The cross-coupled with all the sufferings of the Lamb of God was the payment that Jesus paid for our redemption. He was not a victim suffering against His own will. Jesus did it WILLINGLY. Besides that, this was the only way God could redeem mankind and bring forth new sons and daughters that would bear the image of His beloved Son.
The cross was a manifestation of the great love of the Triune God in action, for all three were in agreement, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
More scriptures that prove my point,
‎AMP Acts 2:25 "For David says in regard to Him, I saw THE LORD CONSTANTLY BEFORE ME, me, for He is at my right hand that I may not be shaken or overthrown or cast down [from my secure and happy state]."
AMP Gen 22:8-9 "Abraham said, My son, God Himself will provide a lamb for the burnt offering. SO THE TWO WENT ON TOGETHER.
9 When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built an altar there; then he laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar on the wood. [Matt. 10:37.]"

Jesus didn't come preaching a Gospel about himself. The message of Jesus Christ's sacrifice is one and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is another. Putting them together looks like this- Christ died so that we who truly believe may enter into the Kingdom of God: the God Kingdom, through the new covenant of the blood (wine) and body (bread), on passover, of Christ which replaced the animal sacrifices of the old covenant.

  • @mitchellc4

The gospel is the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM!
Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21
    Matt 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus said the Father is the only true God!
    John 17
3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

Superstition is alive and well in religion -- all religions .science discarded superstition long ago ..religion hangs onto superstition because along with fear that’s all that’s left in religion . Reality is absent in all holy books . Miracles don’t happen today and they didn’t happen in the past…. God isn’t speaking to anyone today or ever spoke to anyone anywhere anytime .. that’s a trinity of facts for you to ponder on. You have a brain for a reason- use it or lose it
