Uh 🙄 caserio has been there straightening the roster for a while now. Getting a pic haul for Watson was key, then the coaching and the qb. And now with this all-in haul of FAs, They should be able to weather the injury storms. First thing first, win the division.
If I were a gambler I’d bet right now it’s the Chiefs-Texans in the AFC Championship. Stroud is a guy who could take down Mahomes as well as Burrow, who’s proven it. But Stroud-Mahomes could be epic.
Too risky man not saying you're wrong but the hype, the change in chemistry, and the fact the Texans made the playoffs because the Jags got key injuries after the beat the Texans and then the Colts literally dropped the ball and lost to them. Not taking anything away I just think Texans played the easiest schedule in their division and now they'll play the hardest. They could do it I think they just overachieved and will balance out this year and maybe be good 2025.
I think Texans have earned 4 primetime games this year and a flex game too. I’d love to see Stroud vs Anthony Richardson on Monday night and a Christmas game vs the cowboys. Houston is looking even more dangerous than last year and what’s even scarier is they have depth. Heavens forbid Mixon diggs and tank go down they still have Pierce Collins Metchie Brown etc to pop in
I think the QB rookie contract is overblown. The salary cap keeps going up each year and CJ seems like the type of QB that can make it work with whoever
Texans will win the AFC South; host a playoff game; win it; and be two games away from a Super Bowl in New Orleans (where it should be every year). January will be interesting. Go Texans!!!!
CJ is great as is DeMeco, teams will be more clued up playing them this year, but hopefully they can keep the momentum going. Diggs a great player but on the downward curve IMO - should bring some nous and experience to the pass options though. Hard to argue that they haven't made the effort to build this roster. I wish them well.
I believe that whole they have tape is overblown though to begin with. They had plenty if tape half the hear onwards, and this team is loaded amd hard to stop on offense with a good oline. Mixon and Perice in the running game bot to mention Mixon pass catches, Diggs, Nico, Dell, Schultz plus an even better CJ I'm not worried about tape cause anyone fan say that. Texans have tape too. Not to mention Defense which was top ten last seaosn is miles better also. Pass rush is elite, Which helps the backfield Linebackers are really good, decent CBs and safeties despite tape and harder schedule this team is ten times better in talent amd well coached, We should win at least the division I see AFC title game

@@tyrannicaltypomichaeltester That's true ! 😀 He's some player. Agreed it's not automatic. I really liked CJ Stroud's attitude and calmness under pressure. Impressive for a rookie year in the NFL. AFC is so deep.

The McNairs said they were always working. During the down years, they were still working to build draft capital and clear salary. The foundation for last year were built during 2020-2022. Nick Caserio is good at not overpaying guys. The only 'overpay' of course will be for CJ Stroud.
They beat the Bengals WITH Joe Burrow. But that was a different team. It remains to be seen whether the off-season acquisitions will perform. We lost five guys up front on defense, along with a right tackle, a number one running back, a center, and a very good punter, The DB room hasn't improved by addition in free agency. If it doesn't improve by offseason work they have one corner, one aging safety and one aging nickel. The expectations are ridiculous. Some of last season's games were great. Some were awful. Overall, they were just so much better by comparison with the past years we got over-hyped. Some games were won by a heroic field goal, some by a fluke. I can wish and hope for greatness from the whole team, but I can't kid myself that they HAVE a complete team. The talking heads need fodder and decided the Texans could be that. We'll see what happens when the games are played.
CJ Stroud seems like the kind of guy to me who takes nothing for granted. I guess his teen years were pretty rough and he had to fight for everything. But in reality that did him a favor. I would be more surprised that Stroud has a “Sophomore Slump” than if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election. And even though I strongly dislike Biden I’d go -150 on Joe to win in November. Bummer.
Texans are going to be scary with Diggs. I’m betting Diggs end of season mini slump at the end of the year was either a fluke or purposely dropped for motivation to trade him. Mr. Digg clearly wasn’t happy here. I wish him well as he is a great player when he was happy to be here. With that said, It will be hard to replace him. After this years cap hit, It will allow the Bills more opportunities to sign other talent Using Diggs’ money. The NFL really needs to up the salary cap more. Made put in some sort of language that says what percent of a teams cap can be used for a DBs or QBs or RBs etc I know this will NEVER happen.
Is that even a serious question lmao last year they were better and we took a huuuge step forward in the off season. Dallas still has Dak and Jones 😂😂😂😂 good luck
@@jenniferu6470 The Jags fell apart like they usually do and the Colts were playing with a backup QB and were one play from winning the division. The Texans are lucky to play in the AFC South. Any other division and they don't have a hope of making the playoffs.
