- Botswana Threatens to Send 20,000 Elephants to Germany | Firstpost America
Germany and the Southern African nation of Botswana are fighting over elephants. Botswanan President Mokgweetsi Masisi has threatened to send 20,000 elephants to Germany. The remarks came after the German environment ministry raised the possibility of stricter limits on hunting trophies import into the country. Germany attributed the potential stricter rules to poaching concerns. However, opposing the move, Botswanan President said that hunting keeps the elephant population in check. Botswana is home to one-third of the global elephant population. The country struggles with an overpopulation of elephants and has offered to send them to other nations in the past.

🟦 NOTE: Botswana should start selling their elephants to any Country that is interested so that they will be able to compensate the citizens whose livelihood has been destroyed by the elephants. Botswana has worked hard to preserve their elephants for generations when others finished their own. They should at least get something good out of their hard labor.

🟦 BAD IDEA!! What did the other Countries in Africa do to their own elephants? They will do the same to these elephants.
Botswana worked hard to preserve their own elephants for generations. Let them start selling their elephants to whoever wants to pay for the elephants. So that they will make something out of their labor and be able to compensate the citizens whose crops and livelihoods have been destroyed.
Masisi what you should do is to spread the elephant to Afican countries who are interesd with elephant stop poaching

🔴There is nothing spiritual or sinister at all concerning the elephants in Botswana. Don’t spiritualise everything. Only that the population of the elephants is too large for a small country. The elephants are hungry and a large part of Botswana is the Kalahari desert and there is no much vegetation there. In their search for food, the elephants end up straying into the villages and eat the crops and destroy the houses of people.
♦️We had the same similar problem in my Country some years back; also in the Southern region. The problem ended because the people took the law into their own hands and killed all the elephants that were a nuisance. The Population of Botswana is just slightly above 2.5 million.
