Thank you for the knowledge and no bs style! I started trading full time a few months ago after "trading" for over a year. Painful stuff but I love it and I'm at the point where it feels like I just broke through the threshold of consistency. I keep hearing that experienced traders are struggling in this market, so I think it's the best time to learn full time.

Yes true, I have been in touch with a financial advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.

I've been trading a long time, and before that owned a different type of business, and I can say having the absolute support and encouragement of your partner, if you're lucky enough to have one, makes all the difference. Inflation is producing a slew of problems throughout the world, including food shortages, diesel and heating fuel shortages, and housing prices and financial market crash. This global collapse might end up being a part of us for a very long time. With inflation currently at about 9%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
There are lot of ways to make a killing right now, but such high-volume near impeccable trades can only be carried out by real-time experts. Trying to earn big in this down market without an advisor is like trying to win the Indy 500 riding a llama.
I'm sure the idea of an investment-Adviser might sound controversial to a few, but a new study by Bloomberg found out that demand for Financial-Advisers sky-rocketed by over 42% since and based on firsthand encounter I can say for certain their skillsets are topnotch. I've accrued north of 580k within 16-months from an initially stagnant Portf0lio worth 126k.

Man I relate to this video and your journey so much. Especially the point when you basically said you were dabbling in things and not immersing yourself, then giving up. As a full time working doctor I have been watching TH-cam videos of how to analyse stocks premarket, etc etc but haven't got around to executing anything or knowing how to execute. I like the idea of all this but haven't fully immersed myself. I wish I had a mentor but also the idea of possibly having to change careers scares me. Anyway this video gave me a lot of inspiration so keep it up bro!

I too, am taking the same route of hitting the courses & demos 1st. Together with following channels & discords I relate to, the plan is to practice on the demos until this feels 2nd nature.
My personal challenge though, is I still have a great "poverty signal" block, where I'm struggling to start using real money. I wonder if anyone else who feels the same way could perhaps share.
I've never done any gambling & I'm super thrifty. Even when growing up I never spared any coins to play at the video arcade. My "growing up poor" mindset has left me rather tight-fisted about money - even investing. How has anyone else worked towards overcoming this psychological block?

A key thing that helped me in my journey is Trading pyschology and having a trading plan more is less in trading i only take quality setups it was a rough journey until it all clicked am much more disciplined

Cool video on your quest. I unfortunately had to give this up after 2 years. I wish I did what you did in the beginning which was that full week in person course from a proven successful trader. Trying to learn on your on, even being in groups is extremely tough. Congrats on your success.
Same here. I eventually gave up my pride and went with a copy trader instead of doing it myself. Been with them (Dreamfire52) for about a year now. Been impressed with the results so far and the best part is I don't have any extra screen time. Best decision ever. Now I focus on other things that I am more talented at.

Do you ever hold trades overnight if you never get a sell signal before close?
I sell options and collect dividends. I sell mostly covered calls. I shoot for .9%-1.2% per month. I am not ballsy enough to push that return. It's a nice little side hustle.

Must be nice to find a mentor from which you could learn by seeing him in action in person. I've been trying to make it for a full year and still, can't make it profitably, but at least I'm not in big draw down, but still. I'm always thinking about what am I doing wrong just because I don't have anyone to consult with. The pain of living in the middle of nowhere.

I have always wanted to be in the day trading business but life got in the way. I have a question and I want you to be brutally honest in answering. I am a retired financial planner and I don't need money to be rich but the idea of day trading has always intrigued me. I started learning on my own at 19. I did not have access to computers or mentors. Today, I am 73 and DT is on my bucket list. Am I too old to srart? The objective is not to have fancy cars or flying machines but to challenge myself on a daily basis to keep my brain active. Any suggestions on joining a group?
