The entire MV (music, sound editing, lyrics, costume, styling, props, art direction, concept, lighting, editing, storyboard, post prod team) deserves more credit. People behind this masterpiece are actually legends. Any 15-sec portion of this MV took so much time and hardwork. 1-sec even required multiple complex frames. Truly a masterpiece. The standards have just been raised way higher.

simon said "quality over quantity". He wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone: expressing the message of the song, while making the most perfect masterpiece of an mv and staying within the budget. Those 1:57 minutes are months and months of work and an infinite amount of money spent. They've made a whole movie here. Adding the rest of the song wouldn't have been possible budget-wise and for this reason there won't be a full version unfortunately. (Also considering that this isn't the title track of the album).
I saw Simon's explanation of why the M/V was as short as it was. Made so much sense. Absolutely knocked it out of the park! This gives me chills thinking what will the title track and M/V look like? XGALX set a massively high bar with GRL GANG.
I think these shorter music videos are a more of a thing in Japan so they’re following that model this time around. Also makes it so fans have no choice but to stream the full song, which is smart. I don’t think this is going to be their main/lead single though, I have a feeling this is just a teaser for the album as a whole. I’ve never been so enthralled with any group, the way they’re doing things is innovative and fresh. Can’t wait to see what else is up XG’s sleeve!
