Hi Janny, thanks for watching. It was nice to film the flamingos with my best camera and lens, I enjoyed it and the results certainly met my expectations. All the best, Mike and Yvonne.
Excellent video and pictures of the young flamingos at the Pink Lake nearby. They are doing quite well and getting ready to head south soon. Thanks for taking us along on your trip to see them!😉😊💓
Hi Vinyl57, thank you for your comment. Wish we could follow them and see where they go next. I've heard a lot of places mentioned, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, They can travel approximately 600 km (373 miles) in one night at about 50 to 60 kph (31-37 mph). Thanks for watching, all the best, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi Sven, good to see you yesterday. Yes, the young flamingos were not at all bothered by our presence at the Pink Lake. If fact they seemed to like the camera….lol. See you soon, Mike and Yvonne.
Congratulations Mike and Yvonne for this brilliant video and photography!! Amazing, gorgeous!! Also for the music...!! 👏👏🥇 Thanks for sharing. Thanks from someone who was born in Torrevieja 🙏
Wow what an amazing vlog, love how you have captured the flamingos, I absolutly love them and love driving down the N332 and seeing them on the salt lakes 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
mike, yvonne. WOW mike that was as good as any BBC filming ive seen, the close ups and framing spot on ,not to mention the picture quality. there was a stray flamingo on the waters edge with a hair band in her plumage, she didn't look bad either. ps need some more beer swilling and eating with daft jokes mike , al si-thi.
San Luis Lakeside. There is a cycle path where you can get access to a path to the lake at the bottom of Calle Lena. Plenty of room for parking also there
Always good to see this. They look very different when young, but don’t we all. Great fotos Mike. Was good to see both of you in La Siesta recently. A great video and still keep looking at the fotos. Well done as always
Fantastic Mike , Breath taking your channel needs more of this as well truly professional in allaspects right down to the soundtrack, Would you ever consider doing a video of actually how you get there not a lot of people know , Thanks
Hi Faolteam, thanks for watching and for your nice comments. We filmed the flamingos at San Luis Lakeside at the bottom of Calle Lena there is an opening to the lake in the fence. We walked about 100 metres to the right and the flamingo chicks were there. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
Alright David Attenborough no need to show off that fantastic bit of camera work... oh alright yes there is, that was a beautiful bit of filming crystal clear, your best work in my humble opinion but then I love wildlife, shame it wasn't longer to enjoy that music that goes so well with it
Hi Sean, thanks for watching. So pleased you enjoyed the content. I don't often film with this camera but this situation called for it. Thank you for your nice comments. Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
I think this is your best yet - simply stunning! Do you know if the young birds thrive well without their parents and do they remain until next season? PS will you be making the stills available for sale on your website?
Hi Rhian, thanks for watching and enjoying the images. We are not experts but we understand they move on, down south, when they can fly better. There were no parents with them when we were there so maybe they just fend for themselves....maybe someone on here may know more. It does seem like bad parenting doesn't it? Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Well Mike, where did you gain Cameras skill from, What Cameras did you use or was it your Phone, I agree with Yvonne amazing video, Raining ☔ very heavily in Wexford Ireland 🇮🇪 along the coast 😢😢😢
Hi Phil, thanks for watching. Before I retired or was forced to retire early because of COVID-19 in 2020, my job was as a cameraman/video producer. I had my own video production business called Tapebank Digital Video Productions. I sold all my professional camera equipment last year but still have some smaller good quality cameras to create our TH-cam videos. These images were shot on my Sony A6700 mirrorless camera with a Sony 70-350mm telephoto lens. I always have and still love creating images, hence the need for "Between the Lakes"
Hi Rob, yes, I think they have been around for a long time, maybe they were around when the dinosaurs were.... Thanks for watching, all the best, Mike and Yvonne.
