@@jonathanjacob5453the Russians were shelling Ukrainian civilians since 2014. Particularly in 2014/2015 Ukrainian civilians were caught in the crossfire. After the implementation of the Minsk 2 agreement civilian casualties as a result of indirect fire reduced significantly. However there were still instances of rocket and artillery fire killing civilians. You can you tube it and you will see plenty of footage of Ukrainian civilians killed by Russian indirect fire. For example the Russian proxies fired grass into Avdiivka in 2018.

@@colincampbell4261 smoke a lot of crap dont you. There was a military coup in 2014, shortly afterwords the people of donbas specifically the DPR and LPR went into rebellion wishing to become independent of a Ukraine. For similar reasons that America rebelled against Britain. a question of representation. The president they voted for being deposed in a violent coup. They specifically begged Russia to annex them but Russia refused at the time, instead they went forward with minsk one and minsk 2. Both of which later proved to be western tricks designed to arm and prepare Ukraine for war, this was later confirmed by all three of the signatories in public statements. Meanwhile during those 8 years ukraine introduced many frankly racist laws banning Russian language, music, books. Thousands of civilians were killed in the DPR and LPR by Ukrainian shelling. Finally Russia had enough and decided to free the people of DPR and LPR from tyranny.

The unconscious moral superiority of the west, despite overwhelming indication of the opposite will lead to its downfall. Before nemisis comes hubris. I have studied the situation since Putin’s 2007 Munich speech and I understand that projection by the west is their biggest issue, there is no strategic empathy. “Know not the enemy nor yourself and you will lose every battle, know the enemy and not yourself and you will lose half of your battles, know yourself and not the enemy and you will lose half your battles, know yourself and your enemy and you will win every battle” - Sun Tzu. The hubris of the west sees them not knowing themselves and the projection sees them not knowing their enemy. The outcome is certain

you lost me when you compared Russia and Chinese capabilities. no they are not even close, especially not in a long term war. China has more factories than anywhere else in the world. You wake them up and they can build so many weapons that the mind would boggle at the scale. And they have so many people that they could field armies of such immense size as to be a ludicrous joke.
It would not be a particular stretch for china to field 20 million soldiers (thats only 2 percent of there population. And since they have an over abundance of men it wont even have any particular long term effects.

Missing the fact that China may have massive industry, but they rely on Australian and other foreign nations ore to run those factories. In the event of a world conflict all allies have to do is sanction and blockade China and wait. Let China make moves outside of their waters and most of their navy is not designed for deep water operations, yet alone losing home ground benefits.
China doesn't produce best grade equipment hence Russian troops complaining about Chinese equipment provided, and in terms of ground troops only India is a threat of facing full might of China, every other nation like Taiwan China cant field their whole army due to lacking transports for infantry/armour across water. China hasn't even been battle tested with their last genuine conflict being when they invaded Vietnam and got wiped.

@@justaruztyspoon668 ive said this many times before, in a war with china you have 1 year to win. If you have not won then your facing troops that are experienced an economy that is geared to war.
and for the record, yes china can operate its own factories. no they wont run out of raw materials. I really hate to break this to you but they are a massive country in there own right. They have access to Russian raw materials. as well as they have there own primary industries as well.
For some reason people look at the sheer volume of raw materials they use now (which requires input from around the world) and forget that they need so much because their factories are building commodities for the rest of the world.
The thing you are not considering is they wont be making bullshit for western consumers anymore (which by the way will be a rather serious problem for MANY of our industries and civilian population) All of that will free up vast resources that can be turned towards war. In fact it will probably HAVE to be turned towards war to prevent an economic collapse.
china also has absolutely massive ship building capacity.
Right now they dont have enough transport capacity (unless you count civilian) to invade taiwan. But that wont last forever.
No we wont be able to sanction china to victory, and in fact its a mind bogglingly stupid thing to even try as it would without a doubt cause just as much if not more problems for us. (we rely on China for most of our rare earth mineral needs, consumer goods of all kinds and industrial supplies) and they have backup sources for raw materials.

Then, with fantasies of Rambo, Arnie, or Saving Private Ryan in their little heads they go to Ukraine. At first, they are in the rear. Then, they are sent to the front where people die and rot. Artillery 24/7. Bombs, drones, tanks and missiles. Then one one night, they have a crying fit, and decide to bail out. With accompanying cartoon music, they get out of Ukraine fast. Back in the West, they do podcasts and go on local news to share their bravery. They hang out in pubs, contemplate writing a book, and have 'Ukraine Veteran' on their Tinder profiles. What a joke.

45:00 but what about Ketamin as the main drug in a situation where most injuries are blast injuries aka TBI involved injuries?
It's been a while since I quit my EMT-P career, but up to around 2010 Ketamin was considered contraindicated in cases of heavy TBI, due to its affects on intracranial pressure (increase). Has this changed? I personally liked Fentanyl and its qualities, even though, its therapeutic window is rather small. That means min and max limits for its dosis are not that far apart from each other (sorry for my English). In other words, it's very easy to overdose and have your patient require artificial respiration.

    • @rantanplan178
      @rantanplan178 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I've checked myself meanwhile. Apparently it indeed has changed to my surprise. In fact, Ketamin is even given intentionally in cases of heavy TBI nowadays (again, sorry for my English, it's not my first language and translating expertise isn't that easy). It seems it can even lower intracranial pressure. Given this is true, Ketamin is for sure a crazy good drug to use for trauma patients in a war situation. Your patients are fit and for the majority not geriatric. As long as blood pressure is under control and not extraordinarily high, it's far easier to handle then Fentanyl or Morphin. In other words, there isn't much that can go wrong with Ketamin, given the set of Patients you'll see.
Opiats still can have advantages in certain cases, as it not only is a fantastic analgesic, but it also calms patients and makes 'em "feel" a lot better, which shouldn't be underestimated. Panic does a lot of bad things like increasing blood pressure and other stress related issues.
Also, I am looking at it from a perspective of a civilian paramedic/nurse level of experience.
Lastly, I'd like to express my respect and appreciation to anyone in Ukraine and esp. the guest in this video. It's actually insane what Russia has put this world into and what people therefore have to endure. I hope it all takes a good end for Ukraine.

@@fluctura It certainly can give you quite a trip^^. It's this k-hole thing that dude talks about in the video. Staying alive is far more important however and you can give 'em benzo's like dormicum or valium to reduce the effects if possible. The side effects of Fentanyl and other Opiat related drugs are life-threatening however and you don't want someone suddenly stop breathing in the middle of the night in some trench system in Ukraine. ;)
_Reminds me of antidepressants, that, as a side effect, can cause depression_
Yea, some SSRI's can do that esp. in the first 2 weeks of administration. They don't actually cause depression, but SSRI's increase motivation before the anti-depressant effects set in. Therefore, if given during a phase of serious depression, maybe with ideas of killing oneself, giving SSRI's may give this person the motivation to complete this last step. Hence, why it sometimes is better to put someone on SSRI's under clinical conditions.

In my experience idealists suffer the most, they will see & do a lot of things that directly collide with their moral compass & the self image of being heroes, than they get taken advantage of & chewed up by the system to be spit out without any thanks when its over, no money, no recognition beyond their service and end up in a civilian life if they are lucky, living to regret their decisions and see all they fought for watching it losing meaning or live to see that they were pawns on the wrong side of history.

For reference, Serbia, small and militarily irrelevant country fought on Kosovo against full air invasioj by NATO forces for 3 months before capitulating, and they are the size of Kiev. Considering the numbers Russia came into Ukraine, which was at least twice smaller than Ukrainian army, its just crazy to think that would have happened and it almost did, Ukraine negotiated and wanted it to stoo a month in, and by the way things are going, probably should have, but I dont have a horse in this fight so not up to me to tell anyone what to do.
