      Same as above except *Go Yankee’s*… I’m 6’3 200/lbs and I’m looking for an ebike that I can commute with. I’ve heard the throttle is jumpy and it’s either *off or full blast!!* like there is no in between throttle control? If that’s the case can you replace the throttle for something with more precision? I’m sure they exist… hopefully not having to change the controller

    I just maintained 36.6mph on a Grizzly, with the bike loaded to its weight capacity, on flat ground. You can be big, and this bike will still get you to many car speeds. I'm bringing this up because it was the selling point that made me pick this bike, but even with all of the videos, so few of them are heavy guys at top speed, so I wondered if weight would hold me back. With this bike, not so much.

    I just took my first ride on my Grizzly V2 with the JB Seat like the one you got but mine was 20" long x 4" tall. For my 5'10" frame and 71-year-old knees, that wasn't tall enough. I cut the bolts off the original seat, which is only good for small or young people, and put it on top of the JB seat and that was the right height for me. But it needs to be wider to carry my Wide Load all day. Like a motorcycle seat. I'll probably sell my JB Seat and create something just right for me or maybe have JB do the job for me.

  • @duchessstudioband7896
    @duchessstudioband7896 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As far as comfort is concerned, I kept the old seat, mainly due to the problem I see with loosing the ability to have cargo space on the bike. I hang 2 pannier bags off the battery cage. Lol. The pannier bags are a total must have for me. I found a cover for a motorcycle saddle that works well. It has inflatable pockets and makes the seat super comfy without the need for a new seat.

    Great review by the way very detailed and I'm happy you're enjoying the Grizzly. I had my eyes on the Grizzly V52 last year on June 12, placed my order on that same day and it was suppose to be delivered to me on July 15. That delivery date was changed by Ariel Rider to a later date because of shipping issues. Then delay after delay for 4 months and still no delivery until finally I had to cancel my order. I was refunded my money in 2 days though and ordered a Sparks Cycleworks Bandit with dual batteries instead. And guess how long I had to wait for this order? Just one week and my Bandit was delivered to me without any issues through UPS. I'm really enjoying this beautiful eMoped and I have no regrets about this purchase.

    I’m looking at either the Grizzly,Super73 or Onyx RCR. I will be using it as a commuter when I can. I live in Western New York so with snow always in winter I’m thinking maybe a Sur Ron or Taleria with beefed up snow tires. Although, can the Grizzly take bigger fat tires… also in my research the throttle on this is trash! Great bike (although those glitches got me worried…) for the money but it’s *essentially not a throttle… more like an ON/OFF switch!* With ebike regulations yet to be handed down they really need to not go cheap on the second most important thing besides brakes. There’s no step up control it’s like pushing a button and you probably have to use the modes as gears to switch while riding. Although they do make get a MAJOR POINT for making it a button and not some stupid app!!! Why some ebike manufacturers are making things harder on themselves is beyond me??? Also, maybe come up with an ebike that maybe has a legit key/alarm system with GPS would be an idea. I mean this gives China the perfect excuse to spy on us! Where are you when we need you China… find our ebikes Lol. Seriously, I don’t know what to get? I mean the Sur Ron will probably be banned by the time I got one. I’d prefer not to register anything because New York State doesn’t use lube with anything… they make it hurt 💴 💴 💴 🔥 🔥 🔥

    • @ParkHopTillWeDrop
      @ParkHopTillWeDrop  ปีที่แล้ว

      The throttle is decent it works as a normal throttle not anything like an on off switch the sur Ron is a better more expensive bike but with out a pedal mod you will be drawing some attention especially in NYC you can put more aggressive tires on the grizz and people take them in the snow all the time I just think if you want an electric bike go grizzly if your looking for more of an off road monster and are will to spend the extra money get that sur Ron thanks for the comments and go sox's!

Spongey suspension is something I cannot stand, coming form the motorcycle world I've had my fair share of cheaper bikes with spongey suspension and I hate it. Adam, I am 6'2" and 235 lbs.
      I have put 120 lbs. of air in the shocks and cranked on the preload.
      These shocks a way stiffer than the shocks on my Juiced Hyperscorpion.
      However, the Grizzly shocks do not have much travel, so they bottom out quite easily.
      Some Grizzly owners have changed the shocks. The Grizzly shocks are 10 inches which is a rare size in the aftermarket. The aftermarket shocks I see Grizzly owners use are 11 inches and based on the geometry of the bike this would raise the bike and increase the length of the pedal stroke.
      So, for heavier riders with longer legs, an aftermarket shock upgrade could solve a couple of problems.

      I dont have any first-hand experience with that bike but I did take a look at it and the specs and for the money, you will be much better off in an ariel rider either x-52 or grizz the grizz has dual 1000watt motors so way faster than the biktrix also the much larger battery on the grizz will be better for larger riders looking for range and the 52v vs 48 v is more efficient so the grizz has the bitrix beat in every category. the x-52 from ariel rider is a great option when money might be a factor but if it was me I would buy the grizzly again for sure the dual battery and dual motor are big selling keys for me are there faster bikes out there yeah but for the money, this is a lot of bike and so far I have been happy with the customer service I have received from ariel rider I hope this helps please let me know if you need more info about something I will do everything I can to help
