- When @olepappyfalcon showed up to SCT Tulsa in his turbo’d rusty Ford Falcon, he didn’t expect to see the second round of racing. Having put the car together within the last year, he was content with some track-time, making tuning adjustments and logging data. The LAST thing he expected was to find himself in the final round of racing, against one of the fastest cars in the midwest! This just shows that ANYTHING can happen in racing, which is a small part of what makes this sport so addicting!

Um He only won because the actual fast car redlighted so Get over yourself it wasn't anything special at all he needs to get a better car and actually learn how to make it fast because that falcon is slow and way to heavy

I agree wholeheartedly. Drag racing isn't just about who got the most powerful car, if it were it wouldn't need drivers, we would just put the cars on the dyno and not bother with the race. Just like any other form of racing it's about who's the best driver on the day and this dude was.
Love that old Falcon, and the fact that you kept it Ford makes me love it even more 🤩

I don't think any real car guys get "tired" of them, it's nice to see other builds winning though. I like engines from a lot of different manufacturers.

@@simplyfred8044 oh, gotcha. I don't get the hate that some people have for the LS Series, they're over done but at the end of the day they're just a simple platform with a lot of potential. Before the LS it was the same with the small block Chevy.

Great vid!! I grew up around a ‘64 Falcon Futura with a 289 in it and we used to race it on Friday nights....this brought back tons of good memories! Congrats on the win and it goes to show anything can happen when you line up....

You hear drivers say they'll take being lucky over being good every time, I agree! My biggest win was back in the 70's, I was bracket racing in the 1/8 mile. I had a '68 cougar, completely stock. 302 2 barrel, 3 speed automatic. It ran in the HIGH 11's! I made it to the finals, against a 6 second camaro! Every time he left the line that front end was at least 3 feet or more in the air! He had to spot me over 5 seconds. I was going down the track & kept glancing back out the rearview mirror. Sure enough I seen him leave the line wheels high up! I couldn't believe it when I won, & boy was his guys pissed the lost! Love the old Falcon, keep dialing it in & keep up the winning! Fast Fords Forever!❤🏁
That was totally awesome, there is nothing I love to see more than an underdog win. Imagine how fast he'd be if he went fiberglass fenders, quarter panels, good and trunk.

I knew a guy that had one of those with a hopped up 260, 3 on the tree, and jacked up with a 2x4 on each side of the rear. I like it. 🇺🇸👍
Back in early 70’s there was a falcon slant six called the Pepper Mill that raced in southern Ontario, Cayuga and other tracks, had quite the reputation.

He fits the class most people jus get mad cause Ryan puts in countless hours testing and perfecting his setup. I beat him the only way I could and that’s by catching him on the light or him breaking.

I had a Falcon wagon with a straight 6. It wasn't very fast. At about 100 mph the valves would start floating and I'd have to let off.
My buddy had a 65 wagon with the same set up. We pulled it out of a junkyard and he drove all through high school. We loved that old falcon!
No such thing as luck when it comes to grass routes racing, every man has done the same work as the next to get there, there's either winning or losing, I love a underdog story!

ah I remember my neiighbor's dad bought a new 62 falcon, and we all went to Indanola fishing with it pulling a boat behind us. We stopped to get something and his dad came out of the store and told us that Marylin Monroe had died. that was 62 or 63. I rmemeber how proud his dad was of the ford falcon.

It's all factory glass. Except for the two biggest windows on it. But it's not really luck when you go a to b every time.

As much as I wish it was Ford Powered... correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t he say in the video it’s a 364 cubic with single turbo then mentions stock block? So can’t be stock block 5.0 punched and stroked to 364 cubes. Also never heard of someone building a 351 to only 364 cubes. My buddy tells me it’s a 364 must be stock gen3 6.0 truck LS. Still always love the little falcons.
