A real shame that someone should do such a crap job on such a special and rare head. Great to see you do it right and save it James, top job as ever. That Mk2 was automotive porn, what a car.
Remember that horrendous RS cylinder head I brought over to you? The valve seats were unbelievably corroded. Great results following the build, including your valuable assistance 👍🏻
Honestly the skill and expertise you have is a joy to watch mate. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with these great videos and if I was ever in the position to get an engine rebuilt I know where to come!👍
Very nice work James. Whoever milled that head knew they were hitting the valves. This is very amateur to say the least. I would say what you were hitting in the head was Tungsten from the Tig torch where someone dipped the Tungsten in the weld. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Take care, Ed.
Enjoyed that video good to see you salvaged a rare cylinder head. Had some experience of these heads in a rally car and can be very reliable when put together correctly. cheaper than a BDA.Keep up the good work love watching your attention to detail.
Really enjoyed that one James. Brilliant job! For one moment I thought you were going to put up the numbers off the rollers at the end, but that's a bit of a trade secret with Neil 😜. BTW, being nagged by her good-self to get you to build that NA YB you've been storing (I dumped with you more like😂) for the last few years. That will give me the kick up the arse I need to finish the car!
Great work James, a bit of a shame to see a head like that being butchered, top work yet again, it was good you got to set up the cam timing yourself also, that would give your customer some confidence in the job as a whole, the hp gain is what it’s all about, great work all round mate 👍👍👍🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Fantastic video to watch 👌Great work Sir .
Whoever touched that head before should be named and shamed ☹️
Thanks mate.
That's a Very fit mk2
Great work
Thanks David

Thanks Ed.. yes I was shocked to see they had left the valves in. I think you're right about the tungsten too.. how are things with you Ed?

Thanks Paul, yes I was surprised it found 25hp. Sounds mega as well.
Great video💯👍🏾
Thank you
That mk2 looks and sounds amazing. Is the warrior head a better design than the cossy
It's a really nice car.. I think so for naturally aspirated
James I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Cheers 👍
Thank you Ed.. merry Christmas to you and your family too. Have a great time
your a perfectionist...nice to see
Thanks Mike
Brilliant video as always, thanks for taking the time to share james! Top class 👍 were those two bad seats close to needing replacing at that point ?
Thanks mark.. no not just yet.. I wanted to lower the valves a little bit because of how much came of the head face.
Who ever did the work on that head obliviously doesn't know what he was doing and the value of that head. At least in good hands now.
Thanks Craig.
Did he gain much extra power than before
Yeah it gained 25bhp which I was a bit surprised by
💥🏁
Thanks cuz
Do u still cut 3 angle seats on the valves/seats?
Yes mate
Expensive cylinder head to mess up
Very true
We need that machine shop naming in 40 years of playing with fords i've never seen such a poor job.
My friend brought the escort like that so we don't know. It's ok now
Fucking savages😂😂....about 15 years ago saw similiar on a Peugeot head.....Warrior ....i seem to think they used to be at Uckfield?.....
The thing sounds unreal
