I like this riders' hensin effect is defensive yet offensive while riders in previous series were just flashing lights + visual effects & then transforming. This one sort of like "Back off! I'm transforming, you idiot!" It protects the riders & gives them an advantage of making the 1st attack.
True...i mean, there this one time where Gaim got shot when he about to Hensin...
I feel like they should do more of these kinds of henshins, I mean Sentais already accepted the fact that the reason that the villains don't attack is because the morphing forms a shield, or atleast Zhouger and ToQger, so why wouldn't the riders have them
Blade is also one of the few shows where the transformation is actually dangerous. See that flashy card that moves towards you? Yeah, that thing kan potentially cut off your limbs if something goes wrong, as we see later in the show.
And it got no annoying noise when its about to henshin.. 😏😏
OOO has this, just only in the forward direction. He got hit on the side once.
Chalice has to be one of the best Kaijin-turned-Riders in the history of Kamen Rider.

Kenzaki really started out weak but determined. And in the end, he really got the worst ending possible for a Kamem Rider. Unlike Takumi (Faiz) who was goin' to have short life, Kenzaki was cursed to eternal life, drawn to fight his best friend in which whoever wins, life gets destroyed. And he has to fight his fate every second, knowing he can't win but must not lose. That is simply horrible. Actually, Aikawa (Chalice) is no different in term of fate, but he has always been an undead, Kenzaki was human.
If you haven't watched zi o, both kenzaki and hajime turned human
Yeah at least Zi-O somewhat saved them from that ending.
That card throwing slomo is epic! KR Blade's story really has a strong plot much like kuuga and agito.

In Kenzaki's book, ALL Riders MUST be friendly unless they decide to help an Undead's cause.
This was by far the most edgiest Kamen rider of the franchise ow yah the name "Blade" and I also like that they change the Beer into Milk since this was very much the darkest of the Hesei Series Kamen Rider
This imo was the last Kamen Rider series to be totally edgy from start to finish. Starting with Hibiki above they kinda tone down the violence alot, and even if they wanted to be serius itu had to be done smartly as to get away with nowdays cencorship (in their country). Cuzz remember these thing aired on TV, and can be viewed by anyone so gotta consider the target demographic here.
Also aside from being edgy, Kuuga - Blade feel more like an action drama than a Tokusatsu show for kids by the way they film their scenes alone.

I know this is much to complain about, but should be taken into consideration that adding karaoke lyrics in the videos rises the commitment with the translation too, as much they are what makes us remember of the series too.

the last 2 series before hibiki that spills blood effect in the show and dorama visual effect , after that the visual effect changed, kuuga, chalice and oni riders in hibiki spills blood,after that every rider wears armors
Probably got something something to do with the TV laws too, like these things aired in TV for teens and kids.... So big chance parents might have complained seeing how violent the pre Kabuto Riders where in terms of action or storytelling

What makes blade amazing is that garren, chalice, and leangle all had their own arcs and not blade a rider that helps them with their own problems, but in the end he had to suffer becoming an undead in the end with no happy ending for himself and just staying away from his friends and other riders so his instincts don’t kick in.

My only issue with the season, other than the rushed, unnecessary jump cuts here and there, is the lighting in some scenes. It just makes it really hard to focus, or even understand what I seeing sometimes.

Yes, release the series, the live shows, crossovers, movies, all of it. Then get the sentai license back from Hasbro and release the rest of those series. Then negotiate with marvel and release Supidaman, then release all the metal heroes and the miscellaneous other series on this channel.

Did anyone say that the fun Kamen Rider W manga sequel Fuuto PI is going international by getting a big damn anime adaptation? I’m not too overhyped for it, because of Funimation being influentially greedy as usual. I felt that by the time Funi grew big and became corporatised, it artistically became a shell of itself, which sort of makes sense in context, because its founder recently got fired by the Sony group fat cats.

Lol exactly my impression when I first time watched Blade back in 2007. I could not even distinguish Kenzaki, Tachibana, Hajime, and even Kotaro as face wise they were too identical
This is tough for western audiences sometimes, and Blade is pretty tough since everyone has pretty similar builds and hair. Haha.
