just in case people wondering how things are going now here in Kurdistan,, the place is very very safe we have our own army Pehsamrga but unfortunately Kurdistan is now separated by two families Barzani which is PDK and Talabani which is PUK
on paper we have parliament and one government but in reality each of those families control a region of the Kurdistan region and they steal all the oil money and stuff

While I was in the hospital I made friends with a nurse, this dominatrix-looking Kurd who used to be a Peshmerga fighter. Seeing this video, I asked her if she was there. She said no, but she had friends there, fellow female soldiers. They lost a technical with a mounted grenade launcher to friendly danger close artillery fire, wounding one of them. Said they were looking for chemical weapons but found none. A hard fight, but very few losses.
More videos about the Kurds please!

We used to live in Sulaimaniyah.
The area around Halabja & this operation are very beautiful & traditionally we kurds go there to picnic around the Kurdish new year (21st March) and afterwards.
It was only a few days after this operation that my father took us on a picnic near these sites. I was asleep in the car & suddenly woke up to very loud, boisterous music: everyone was dancing! My dad quickly told us it's not a marriage dance, people are happy Ansar Al-Islam are rooted out.
