It's much too warm for knit wear, except indoors. Dr offices, coffee shops, and such always have the AC so high I often need a shawl. Yesterday I wished I had a throw as I was waiting to find out I still need the brace my arm. The bone is healing so very slowly. I love seeing all of the new things. Stay blessed.
Another lovely podcast! I always enjoy you and your sharing is so inspirational. It's fun to see what you're knitting or being gifted or purchases you make. I truly love the Christian message at the end. Its like you are sitting across from me and we are talking a mile a minute to get done before our time together runs out! Thank you so much.
Hi Ruth - Thank you so much for the shout-out to everyone who purchased the Antrim Shawl pattern. I appreciate them, I appreciate you! I enjoy your podcasts so much, I have gone back and started on Episode 1! That was during Covid - very different times. I am now on Episode 5. Your Stephen West shawls are gorgeous!!
Thank you Ruth. I’m always happy to spend an hour with you seeing your beautiful knitting and all that lovely wool. I’m happy you were able to go to the Mill Weekend. I would love to go one year but way to far from me I’m afraid. Blessings to you and your family.
Thank you Ruth for another fun and inspiring podcast. I’m hoping to join in on the ‘Ruth Shawl’ KAL. As someone else said, ‘I love all parts of your podcast’. Big Daddy Weave held a concert near my location, in a smaller venue.I was so blessed to hear him in person. God is so good. ✝️🩷🧶
Your devotional was lovely and I love your enthusiasm with your projects. I told my husband this morning that my most prayed prayer to the Lord is: "Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me." I am incredibly thankful for God's redemption work in my and others lives. Thank you!
Big Daddy Weave has always been one of my favs. Enjoyed seeing your acquisitions. I will be casting on The Ruth (shawl) soon I hope. Thank you for sharing the beautiful Truth of Gods word.
Dear Ruth...so wonderful what's been raised for LAMB👏You are as real as they get and I enjoy hearing about our readings at the end.Hoping you'll finish that young man's jumper sleeve soon.🤞😉The latest shawl.patterns are gorgeous.👌Go well.🙏❤️👋🐨🌏xx
Always love to watch a podcast from you Ruth. I am so pleased to hear you say that Hannah is OK, I miss her podcasts and hope she is enjoying the break
Another enjoyable podcast Ruth. What an amazing amount raised for Lamb, the Ruth shawl is on my to do list hopefully in July. I treated myself to a redesigned bag with money I didn’t spend while on holiday. Thanks for your words from God. May you have a blessed week ❤❤❤
Beautiful message, Ruth...thank you. I know you will encourage all who listen. I'm looking forward to finding yarn for the lovely Ruth Shawl. too. What a wonderful thing for Jo and Rachel to do. Their kindness and generosity is a gift.
Ruth, I’ve recently shared your podcast with a friend. I did so because you have such a lovely spirit, share the Gospel, and encourage charity. You are wonderful !❤❤
It's always great to spend some time with you. It's so heart warming to see all of the proceeds going to Lamb Hospital and your shawl is looking great. Love your yarn from John Arbon and your new project bag is a beauty. Thanks for always sharing your lovely messages with us!
Your podcast is great. Wonderful makes! Wow! Love your new yarn stash! But I always look so forward to your message at the end. We are good enough, through our Redeemer’s love and gift to us. I am a happy believer. Thank you!
Hi Ruth. As you say sometimes life gets in the way so I've only got round to watching you now. Always a blessing. So pleased at the success of the Ruth shawl. Love all the colours you have purchased for all the shawls😂 I also bought the yarn from wool warehouse. Enough for some socks and a sweater. Thank you again for an enjoyable hour of yarn and chat and your message. See you on the next one. God Bless 🥰
Thanks for your podcast and your message, Ruth. I listen to Sinclair Ferguson's daily (every week-day) approx 5 minute podcasts entitled "Things Unseen" (Ligonier). Today he was also talking about being redeemed and the fact that we are redeemed only through Christ's blood and united to Him. I would really recommend Sinclair's podcasts. He has the knack of fitting so much into that 5 minutes. God bless. x
It’s always a pleasure to see your podcasts. I think I’ve only been watching for a few months but I just feel like I’m hearing from a friend. I bought the Ruth Shawl pattern during your launch video and I will be making one soon. It’s great to support worthy charities and podcasters. Think I might just have to buy a copy for my knitty friend too.
Thanks so much, Ruth. Your podcasts are full of joy, and watching them, everything, the FOs, the WIPs, the new yarns, the messages at the end, it's all such a joy.
Beautiful message today, Ruth thank you so much. I look forward to them. I’m so glad you’re doing a Ruth shawl knit along. I really was hoping you would have one now to go find my yarn from my stash which just like you I have plenty. I’m so glad that you mentioned Hannah. I was actually thinking about her this morning and realizing that I haven’t seen her do a podcast in a while. I was actually going to write you and ask you if she was OK? Tell her we miss her. Thanks again.
“DPNs, Devil’s Sticks” made me laugh right out loud 😂 When I first learned to knit, I learned to knit socks on DPNs. Now they annoy me, but at the time, I found it so magical. Thank you for another delightful catch-up
So enjoyable as always Ruth, love your knits. I love seeing what you have acquired, gorgeous yarn and that bag 🥰 Your message at the end is so inspiring, love it. Thankyou xx
Another lovely podcast, Ruth, and thank you for showing the Prym Sock Ruler. I have a bulky wooden one which is far too large for my project bag so I've ordered this immediately 😀
So nice to watch your podcast Ruth…and I couldn’t resist buying the Ruth shawl pattern as that is my name as well. I have some skeins of yarn from stash that I’ll be using and I’m looking forward to your KAL!
Funny you should mention that it is so cold for June, I am in Scotland and I was just saying yesterday that I have not stopped wearing my warm pjs to bed and wearing bed socks until it warms up under my covers (I don't use a heated blanket) Oh Thanks for enabling me to buy more sock yarn when you mentioned the merino sock wool being on sale I bought 4 balls of different colours, not that I needed that much of a push to be fair lol T x
Those yellow socks ! They are so lovely... And a Ruthshawlkal ! I am really excited about it. Haven't bought the pattern yet, but I sure will, before July 1st. Now to choose colours.. I am curious to see what the boucle yarn will end up being, I've never knit with such yarn, but it looks gorgeous. Thank you for another lovely episode, and your nice words at the end.
Great to spend time with you again Ruth. Love everything about your podcast. The Ruth MAL is going to be the first MAL/KAL I've ever done. A little nervous about joining in but it's too gorgeous not to.
@@ruthlovestoknitpodcast thank you for the encouragement. Sadly there is no suitable yarn in my stash so I'm going to have to go yarn shopping 😁🧶🧶🤭🧶🧶🤣🧶🧶
I truly enjoy your podcast. Such beautiful projects, those socks are amazing, and those shawl patterns are so nice! Thank you for sharing about redemption today. I'm thankful I've been redeemed by Jesus!
Amen ❤ I love your Ruth shawl! It is lovely!! I love the yellow socks you knit. Everything is beautiful!... As are you! 💞💞💞 Take care and have a great week.
Just a note about the Ruth Shawl pattern; I used to work with students with disabilities. One of the main issues we faced was the contrast between the font and the background in written materials. The pattern instructions, as you know, are written with yellow on a white background. This combination is very hard to read. There is actually software available for people to check the contrast level of written material for readability. Just wanted to share that with you and maybe you could pass it on to the pattern designer. Thank you.
@@joannaherriott2677 Thank you for responding so graciously. Some people tend to be offended, but I know how frustrating it is to try to read items with low contrast. Thank you so much for helping Ruth with her ministry. My husband and I were missionaries for 5 years in Nepal. We are back in the states, but left part of our hearts in Nepal.
I think John Arbon yarns are my favourite yarns. There are a few of them I can get here in Canada, but I have ordered direct, also, and they always send such a sweet note. I've recently purchased almost every colour of the Yarnadelic....and the pattern I was going to knit is just not going to work out 😔....I'm not in a hurry, but I'll definitely keep my eye out for a new, different pattern 😊
Hi Ruth, do you use your 9 inch circulars for your whole sock? Heel, gusset and toes? I love to knit my socks on 9 inch but I switch to dpn's for the heel, gusset and toes Could you give a little explanation how you knit the whole sock with them? Love your podcast :)
I feel so peaceful as I listen to your podcast. Would you consider selling some of your socks to donate to your charities.. just a thought. Thank you for the blessing today.
Re the Prym sock measure. Do you use this instead of laboriously keeping a strict row count? Now I’m knitting on 9” circulars I soon finish a row then have to remember to click my row counter which interrupts my knitting flow. Thanks Ruth. 😀
Just wondering where you got the Madam Curry fob……perhaps that can be sold and all proceeds go to your donation….i would love one for my sock bag! Also the foot ruler could be sold through you as on your your You Tube and proceeds you make buy being a seller could go to madam curry…..just a thought!

I looked at Dr Holmes’ own socks on Ravelry and she’s used all sorts of colours over the years. That said, I always try to use at least a bit of yellow in mine!
Hi Ruth, I am now on Episode 50! Nearly caught up. After 50 episodes you repeatedly say something that has confused me. "If this is your first time here, welcome. If you are an OG, welcome back."
