To everyone and anyone who ventures into the comments. Thank you for the support, I really can’t believe how well you all seem to be enjoying the video. I want to apologize for the lack of interactions and even uploads, I got really tied up with school and work and was unable to focus on one thing. It should all start to calm down soon and I really want to pursue playing and improving in overwatch 2. Thank you all, I truly appreciate it :)
Coming from a guy who was hardstuck silver and gold in Overwatch 1 for support and pretty much every other role. I finally hit masters 5 the other day and that was one of the best accomplishments ive had in overwatch. My dps is definitely still plat/diamond but its also improving. so congrats this is amazing man!
What did you do/improve? Also how long did you play for this? I’m completely stuck on gold despite routinely being the highest performing support in each match so I’m genuinely not sure what more I can do🤕.
Thanks for sharing. You seem quite humble, which is refreshing. I have a tip for tanking as well I don’t see many people talk about or realize. Armor mitigates 30% of damage but heals at the same rate as health. In the constant battle between damage and healing, the healing will have an advantage if the tank has armor active in their HP pool. So if a healer and tank can work together to make sure the tank has armor as much as possible, they’ll have a significant advantage. When I tank I try to mitigate or pull behind cover when my armor runs out to help my healer catch up. Not every tank’s play style can do this easily but those that can, like DVa or Orisa, should consider it.
Also another tip that helped me: Instead of "looking" for opurtunities to push, "wait" for them. At least for me, cus otherwise I would just rush in cus I think I have to do stuff all the time. Not every fight even has easy opurtunities to push, unless everything works perfectly. Be patient and dont rush.
Thanks man. I’ve been a main support player for a while and I have felt unable to get out of diamond haha. In OW2 I just recently regained plat, it’s been hard to get back from taking such a long break and your vid was cool helped me clear my head and stop tilt queues.
Great work, tank has the most impact and carry potential, I hope they can balance so even supports can climb even if they’re not gigacarry every game. In OW1 I used to switch to dps to get me out of the low ranks then switch to support.
Actually great video. I really think you are a natural communicator and you talk like a normal person, you don’t have TH-cam/TikTok-brain so please keep that same energy and I’d love to see more guides or just any more thoughts or advice.
Thanks king I needed this as someone who is a support mason and struggles being gold rank, but took comp serious since ow2 release and currently plat 1 and climbing 🙏🏻
I've gotten back to Overwatch last week, the last time I played it seriously was season 1 in ow1, I really disliked the double tank meta back then so I stopped playing. I've really enjoyed playing doomfist in the tank role, I used to play him in dps role. I mainly just dive the healers all day, and I've been losing games due to not peeling my team. I think this video showcases the most important things, and the fact that in every objective based game its mostly macro plays that win, not the flashy mechanics. It also showcased and gave perspective to my own shortcomings. I started playing comp this week, playing 2-4 games a day every other day or so and I've been climbing from Bronze 1 to Silver 1 already, with one 5-0 run in the mix. I think if I work on the subjects in this video, I can keep climbing just as fast for the foreseeable future.
Great stuff! I really appreciated the prioritization list you made!!! I’m a gamer, but just need a basic “rule book” so I’m not grieving my teammates & this just cleared up a lot of questions I had. Hey, “Ow2 Rule Book” sounds nice!😉im subbing. Thank you!

I really enjoyed your content man! You give me hope to rock it out to Masters. Stuck in gld/plat hope to keep grinding it out like you did! Keep it up bro
As a Quickplay goblin id love to see a guide on Rein more. Im always to afraid to do Ranked for whatever reason but your video helped with the mind set i have of "being too bad".
You said you're not much of a youtuber but you have such a youtuber voice and high quality video too, honestly i think you could make a career out of youtube
I have a similar story at a lower scale. Like a year or two ago I was hard stuck bronze since the beginning of Overwatch. I decided to learn the game and get better and I pushed all the way to plat. Now I’m thinking about making the jump to dedicate my time and effort all the way up the ranks
Can you make videos about your thought processes? I want to understand why you are positioning and more about team comps and counters, what the enemy is doing wrong, and why you can punish. Pretty much stuff like that
Personally, I like to pick rein about 80% of the time. On almost all maps, but, if the enemy team is picking off my teammates before I’m able to make space as rein. I end up picking Winston. Just to try and pressure their team into doing other things like repositioning or fighting me instead of my team. Maps with a lot of high ground, like numbani points one and two are where I would choose Winston And same goes for other similar maps/points.
@@bob-rz5ut offtank player* but yes, i got to that part after i commented and i thought until now that he meant rest in piece offtank role and not his friend :/
I would love to see a in depth guide for reinhardt. Second I realized that orisa is the worst matchup for me, how do I play around it and if I cant should I just change heros? Thanks for the video!

What you need to realize is that you shouldn’t depend on your supports. Go into custom game on your own and memorize all the healthpacks. Yes ideally your supports heal you, but if your going to be a good dps you have to be able to play around that and not just stand in a corner yelling for heals.
This is where I think your hidden Mmr comes into play. Because when I win or lose I go up and down a few spots. So there’s got to be a number somewhere tracking. I think that’s why there are diamond players so high on the list
