I have to tell you how valuable your TH-cam channel is, not just to see your machines run, but for these how to videos. I had to revisit this as my valves went out of adjustment somehow. Got it dialed back and in. Thanks for the channel, your knowledge and the best splitter on the market.
Andrew these videos are the meat and potatoes guys are looking for. Written or verbal instructions are good but typically most men are visual learners and seeing a demonstration is way better then reading about it. Thanks for sharing.👍TCT
My 22-28 had started to kick out a little too easily on the forward stroke. A quick search found this video... problem fixed! This is a great instructional video Andrew. Thank you!
Hot damn! Bout time all of his hard work will be rewarded in machine throughput! The only thing this machine needs is a cup holder! Congratulations Scheib
Finally Sheib is joining us in the Eastonmade family, super cool. My friends who ran my ruggedmade didn't understand why I had ordered a 22-28, then it arrived and they got to see for themselves why I did it. No one who sees this Eastonmade is ever dissapointed and many guys who see it know what it is already, and everyone wants to see it work.
Andrew let the truck driver know they need to stop in western Pennsylvania to allow an inspection and test run of that 22 before it makes its way to central Pa.
Round 2 it - nice - if you need more of them just give a shout. We are in the thick of the polar vortex cyclone bomb winter storm. Lots of nice dry wood to stay warm. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
Nice video as all ways nice to see a new video Andrew what is the price now in 2023 since this video is couple weeks old do you have a dealer here in northern Ohio? Thanks be waiting to here back 👍
Dana here aka Millie’s dad. I can say this much about prince valves, they can get the job done, they are not too expensive (but not cheap either), they are easy to get. That being said they are NOT industrial quality. They don’t last and they act up more frequently than they should. I’m speaking of the ubiquitous mono block valve that prince makes into the auto-cycle. Just set the prince on the bench beside the galtech. The shear mass of the galtech tells a whole story in itself. Prince runs a singe detent ball and will cut a groove in the spool in as little as 50 full cord or use with the Detent psi set at 2,800 psi On the extend spool the retract spool set at about 1,200 psi will outlast the extend spool by three times. Basically what I’m saying is they are in my opinion a consumable item so plan on changing them out on a regular basis. I’m not too sure but I think prince will sell you a new spool so you can rebuild the valve. Just my real life experience speaking. Not going to debate this with anybody in any way.
Outside with Sheib! Love the Miller Lite beer at the start Andrew! LOLI have a Ruggedmade splitter like he does. My 12-22 should be done next month...I hope! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hey Andrew we don't get much on the eastonmade log splitter down here in the south but I would like to see more of them down here in north Ga. Can you give me more information on them
Good day Andrew Merry Christmas to you and family. Great explanation and video on how to adjust these valves should help many people out. The start of the video cracked me up😂 cheers 🍻 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Great video Andrew! I own a 12-22 and absolutely love it! In this vid you mentioned once adjusted, if its not tight and gets run, the o-ring inside is wrecked and oil will come through. Would it be possible for you to do a video on replacing that o-ring within the detent assembly. I would love to see how it is done as I think I might have "wrecked" mine by not tightening it up enough. Thank you!
@leroysavoie2981 have you check the manual? If he was turning to the right he would be backing it out. Do half a turn and see if it helps. Always keep track of how much you turn it so you can put it back if need be. I will get Andrew tagged too.
One of our customer requested us to supply complete solution valve and remote radio, when we finish we will be happy to share results here.. Is that possible?
If you turn the allan screw in the detent will kick off at a higher pressure. The forward detent needs to be set 300-400psi lower than the retract detent
After making this video it may be wise to machine or scribe a mark into the housing and barrel so if anyone tempers with it and cries "Warranty" it's not as simple to cover up as a paint marker that can be wiped off and reapplied. Merry Christmas Andrew to you and your family from Western New York. Stay safe during the blizzard this weekend!
Another reason I'd buy your product if I had any money. You will show people how to fix or adjust it. As far as the person that's getting it I guess I'm missing someone's videos that people seem to like 🤷♂️
That'll be awesome. Great job setting up the video by the way. Lite beer and the obvious tag. I was like he's going to say it any minute now, and then no whoooo. It was funny good job. Merry Christmas to you all.
Andrew, I have tried to buy an Ultra online several times and can not do it. I have written emails with no response. If you want to sell more products, you have to fix the ordering process. I have watched In the Woodyard with Chris for years and are sold on the product
I don’t know those instructions don’t work on my 12/22? Maybe it’s because I was using a metric adjustable wrench instead of a standard, I thought you guys use metric in Canada or maybe it is because I only ordered mine 13 months ago and I didn’t start a you tube channel?
I plan on making a comparison video to the super split that the 12/22 is replacing. I know you did that before but I think I can show some details you overlooked. I would really like to compare the 12/22 to the competition you continually elude to in your videos, should we call them mutt mountain or dog hill? I haven’t seen a side by side video with an eastonmade and that brand.
@clarkharms i dont think you'll likely see either one of us do one of those videos. Both machines are very comparable and i think we share a mutual respect for one another.
And let’s be honest you have been doing comparisons just breaking it down into single components. “Why we don’t offer a magnum cylinder “, why we use the galtech valves, why our pusher plates are made this way, why we use replaceable machined wear components. I can’t remember all of the videos off the top of my head but you have had direct responses from that other guy to your videos. To be sure the videos are effective and good points are made, enough to change my mind on which splitter to buy even if I have to wait a bit longer.😢

Lol. Appreciate all the support
Woo!!
Andrew drinking that Miller Lite is like owning a box store splitter LOL.
maybe a Labatt from north of the border, eh
Andrew let the truck driver know they need to stop in western Pennsylvania to allow an inspection and test run of that 22 before it makes its way to central Pa.
Crikey, Canucks gone soft drinking Lite beer? Never thought I'd live to see that.

If you turn the allan screw in the detent will kick off at a higher pressure. The forward detent needs to be set 300-400psi lower than the retract detent

Entirely possible clark. Maybe its worth your effort to make a couple of well structured videos a week. Never know what might come of it.
