It's good that you can compare your equipment to your competitors without being critical. Simply showing the differences. It shows integrity and shows your morals and ethics. Good job 👍
Thanks for designing and building the industries most HD Vertical Splitter.
It’s the little things that make the big difference.
I’ve enjoyed my Axis from the day I received it.
An investment worth every penny. 👍TCT
Thansk tony. Really appreciate the support
How much did you pay for your splitter? thanks.
@@raincoast9010 I bought it about 3years ago and I think it was about $12,500.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
It's these little details which will keep my Eastonmade running well past the 10,000hr mark. 👍👍👍
Morning Andrew! An excellent video to explain the build components and reasons why they are important to the use and wear of the machine. It's really helpful to folks to understand these important attributes of the build quality that underpins the investment in one of these machines. As I was told growing up, if you are going to do something, be the best at it. If you aren't going to be the best, then do something else Cheers and thanks!
Thanks Gord. Really appreciate everything you guys do for us.
The details are were the difference comes in, Andrew and the great team at EastonMade find all the weak points and do the best they can to make them all the more robust and as strong as possible given the function. Videos like this highlight the R and D EastonMade does to find the weak points, fix them, test them, prove them out, and keep improving. Competition is part of it, forces a company to keep getting better on all fronts. Great video Andrew in all aspects. Your explanation of why you and your team do to make the great splitters you make is great. Keep up the great work and the great videos coming. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Andrew for the review of the Eastonmade AXIS. It sure is an awesome machine and ALL the guys on GP OUTDOORS have a great time operating the splitter. Gord is a great spokes person about the AXIS Splitter . You all stay safe and keep up the great work around there. Fred.
Easy handling of large rounds, controlled precision size splits, minimal waste... The Axis is the ultimate machine for bundle wood, and it also can efficiently produce bulk wood. Great machine!!!
Thanks Dick. Hope all is well in North Carolina. Really appreciate the support.
Machines that last forever! Eastonmade = PERFECTION in every way!!!!!!!!!!!!! Living Legends!!!
The New Axis your Team Upgraded Makes a Huge Difference in the Vertical Splitter Market for Customers working on their Own Stay Safe in Canada,
thanks a bunch. really appreciate the feedback.
I think I'm on year 3 with my Axis. I run the snot out of it. Almost zero issues. A few wear parts have broken but I keep it outside in the elements too. Sun, rain, snow, all hard on equipment. Whatever you're doing differently, it shows. Built like a tank! Thanks Em!
Thanks mike. Really appreciate the support
Keep up the great work. And you take very good pride into your machines and into your company.
Thanks brian. Really appreciate the support
You make some really good points on your equipment.you and your crew make nice equipment and it’s built good . 😊thanks for sharing and the update looking forward to seeing you at the logging congress in Green Bay or Michigan
Thanks David. I'll see you in the fall!
Good one. If things are not solid it’s harder to do the work. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
The top 4 brands of commercial grade log splitters in no particular order are Eastonmade, Wolfe Ridge, All Wood, and Brute Force. When people ask what splitter is good for them, I always answer with check out several models, and most of us are more than happy to do a demo run for people. For me it came down to Eastonmade and Wolfe Ridge. Went with WR because of shipping cost and getting a Honda instead of a Briggs engine at the time. If had tried out the Axis before ordering my WR, would've bought an Axis. I absolutely love the precision of a vertical and minimal mess from splitting with the single wedge.
Those are poor reasons to choose wolf ridge. Shipping cost is a one time fee and the engine IF total junk compared to a Honda (it isn’t but that is the common perception from the uninformed) can easily be swapped out. The machine itself is what you need to pay close attention to. The mutt mountain machine is not built to the same level as eastonmade.
@clarkharms WR is only a 165mi drive for me, so it is super easy to get any parts or take it to the factory for someone major. And who is this "mutt mountain" machine? You have to nitpick features and stuff to make the best decision for you. If I had tried the Axis before ordering my WR, I would've bought the Axis.
@@thefirewooddoctor mutt mountain, just another way of saying wolf ridge.
@@thefirewooddoctor 165 miles is somewhat close. I had to drive about 60 miles to get my eastonmade, picked it up at a show so no shipping cost.
@@clarkharms picking it up at a show is the way to go. Rhyme intended.
I ordered my axis and ms324 three weeks ago and can't wait to get it and put it to work.
Great video on an incredible machine Andrew, i think you guys really knocked it out of the park with the bigger engine , engine idle and rotating conveyor! Great job.
I do have a question for you personally about my 22-28 that I'm going to pick up in a few months. I've asked Jeremy but he says it's out of his hands.
Why not offer a set of Grizzly bars for the 22-28 or 37D with attached conveyor directly from the factory?
Except for Dan (who made a slip n slash) every channel that you've sent one of these to have had to custom make a set of Grizzly bars. As your customer myself, I'd happily pay for the option to have a set of factory made Grizzly bars rather than get to the woodyard with my splitter then have to f around and custom engineer them. As I'm positive a lot of other customers would too. What do you think of that?
As long as you strive to do things to the best of your ability your ability in my experience only good things will come
EXCELLENT video Andrew…! I can definitely appreciate the thought processes in this super rugged design…!
Thanks Ken. Really great to hear from you.
Your busy because the best never rests !!! Good to see you posting the new axis does look to be a beast !
Thanks tim. Appreciate the support
Nice comparison!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks 👍
Keep cuttin' Andrew! Love that machine. All good points.
LOOKS GREAT
Great job!!!
You are correct about nylatron. During my apprenticeship I had experience with steel on nylatron wear points. The steel would wear faster. That stuff is amazing.
Nylatron is great stuff. Really appreciate the comment
Great update and information Andrew. Thx.
The (J)axis is super cool machine, one day I'll have one💪 A dream worthy machine.
Nice show of whats different with what you guys produce.
Thanks jack!
Good talk Andrew! Nice to see the differences between the Axis and the competition in this vertical market. All are good! I know my back has never felt better! Take care👊🏻
Thanks todd
That was a great explanation of the reasons you produce your machines in the manner you do. Small things, like maintenance or replacement items, that ensure the longevity on the machine is amazing. Keep up the good work!
Thanks michael. Really appreciate the comment.
Thanks for pointing out that major weak point concerning the flex in the main beam of the competitor . I.went back and watched a video of it occurring while splitting some big white oak rounds on a new owners channel....
Definitely going to be a issue during long term ownership..
I love the upgrades you have done to the Axis!👍👍
Thanks a bunch!
Hi Andrew, this makes me wish I had a little more oversized wood from my supplier. It’s a great looking and working machine. I especially appreciate the way you shamelessly compare the AXIS to your competitor’s machines. You’re a class act Mr. Easton!
Thanks jeff. Really great to hear from you. Hope you journey is going well!
@@EastonmadeWoodSplittershaving a great trip! Spent some time with my daughter, some time with an uncle I only see every 5 years or so- and I caught my limit of rainbow trout! I’ll be driving through your neck of the woods in the next few days…
@@thelogfather5002 right on. Wish you all the best jeff
Exactly why I bought an Eastonmade splitter! You put thought into things that most people wouldn't. Great video Andrew! - Tim
Thanks tim. Really appreciate the support
I absolutely fell in love with that machine while I was up in Essex Junction, Vermont talking with you, Andrew. I wish that I had taken the time to operate it while I was there.🙂👍
Great to hear from you!
Thank you for talking about why you build your splitters the way you do and why you use the components you do. A lot of people see and understand it because they have been to a show but not everyone has had that opportunity. Thank you Andrew!
Thank will. Really appreciate the support
Thanks for taking the time to explain the machine and operating procedures
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video tommy. It is very much appreciated.
That things a beast! Just had an issue with my pump on my ultra Monday and it is just Thursday and already received my new part great product and excellent customer service thanks Andrew!
Glad we were able to get you fixed up quickly
Well said good job
IF... I was forced to give up my Ultra the AXIS would be the one I would want to replace it!!! Speeeeeeeeeeed!
You would love it Chris! Ever since the WR 17 VS-C Demo unit came into my life my back has never felt better😂
They work really nice! Appreciate all the support chris.
you're right todd. the vertical platforms are really comfortable to run all day. Wish you all the best.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters I’m grateful to be learning this lesson on vertical! 👍🏻👍🏻
I ordered mine after seeing it in Vermont I'll be coming up to pick it up maybe we can video it. Don't have a channel but comment on most of then
Thank you for the order. Really appreciate it
you make the beast 👍👍
Thanks cecil
I really like the sound of that auto idle sensor… Is that something that could be added to older machines?
There is a wire on the fuel injected machines for it. Wont be able to do it on the older models
The foot pedal on the axis is night and day the best of I’ve seen and ran. now that you’ve explained how it works, I understand why. The auto idle is an awesome feature! Any plans for a super duper ultra?
Thanks genin. Never know on the ultra.
Hi Andrew!!😀😀
The Axis is one heck of a great splitter.
I did see that Brute Force has went with electric over hydraulic.
Have you ever considered doing electrical over hydraulic??
Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚
Logger Al
Hi Al. I initially thought that, but I don't know if it would be as reliable as mechanical valving in our application.
👍👍
Andrew, you do a lot of things better than your competition including the internet! The only real reason I got to looking at the Multitek 3040 XP2 is that it can cut 32 inch log diameter. They also have no price for their equipment like you do.. How does that machine compare to the Eastonmade 60C that can cut a 24 inch log diameter? Most of the logs are not that big but the speed of processing the bigger logs is a lot slower and a lot more manual effort if they can't go through the firewood processor. so my thought was to just have a bigger firewood processor. It would be an interesting comparison, to me anyway. I love that new and improved AXIS !!!
That would be a great comparison for sure. Really appreciate the feedback scott. Wish you all the best
Andrew this is a excellent video. I believe you have the best machines on the market. I know that the rest is a close 2nd. It would be in your best interest to get dealers from the usa thats what wr is doing. Buy a warehouse in states.alot of people don't want to go to Canada tobuy something and the extra shipping. Made in the USA means alot to people here.
We will have a solution for freight cost in the coming weeks
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters if you have dealers here I honestly believe your sales would skyrocket
I love that machine and got the chance to see it run in Vermont. Do you think it would be easy enough to make a "drivable" version?
I don't know if we will ever get into that or not. My thought is that you would need to have a pile of rounds as tall as the pile of split wood to make it effective. If not you are still bringing the wood to machine rendering the feature of driving redundant in most applications.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters I get it. It's perfect the way it is
Andrew, very brave and honest of you to point out important differences in your design compared to the "competition" ! It will be interesting if the "competition" comes back with their comments! Is your machine significantly more or less expensive than the "competition "?
Thanks arne. Really appreciate the support. The other guys really do a nice job of their machine. Price point is really close to the same
This video would be helpful to people who want to make an informed comparison. When you put stress on steel it does have a permanent effect on the steel. The springs on an old car do not hold that car up as tall as they once did. Then they can break.
Farm machinery normally has many grease fittings. Plastic bushings are newer.
How long have you been building splitters?
I have been seeing chemtrails in your sky.
Hi Andrew, love your splitters. Just for information , can you export your splitters to the UK?
Yes we can. Our agent is Ian Gregory with www.logsandsaws.co.uk
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters
That’s great to know . Thank you
Great video, I like when someone explains to me why their device is better. As a mechanical contractor for 35 years I get tired of listening to what I call fan boys. Whether its air conditioning, boilers or power tools or log splitters. Show me why yours is Better not just how much you spend on advertising. A video on a Vanguard comparison to Honda would be good.
I have always said that in order to get the truth about something, a man owns. Ask them after they sold it and why!👍
We did do a vanguard comparison video a couple of years ago when we switched engines. We have had great luck with the Vangaurds.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters I will have to look for that one. I watched several videos on it before I purchased the 12-22 and called a friend who owns a small engine repair in Kentucky. He said they were excellent. I like how the key just starts it and springs back. Engine shutdown and fuel in a single lever. Well designed. I think some of the complaints come from people who just dont maintain them. They never give a reason. Too many people running zinc free automotive oil and ethanol gas.
In our application for the Falmouth Lion's, we love the the Timberwolfe TW3 Splitter, 3pth., not something you offer?
No right now, but you may see it from us in the future at some point as we continue to devolop new products
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Thank you for responding, The 3 pth allows to move around the yard with no effort, 22 gph pump @ 1500 rpm makes it very efficient plus the endless table height adjustments.
Nice machine Andrew .
Thanks!
Hey Andrew. Was wondering if someone wanted just the original Axis without all the upgrades could he still order one?
Yep for sure. It is the same price as of right now though
What kind of mischiev?
Worded these other co. Kicking your but haha
So, do I need to say anything here? Just wondering.
To be honest there isn’t anything I would change.
Thanks Dana. Always great to hear from you!
Hello Andrew, Nice view and explanation of the superior design, definitely good to point out🎣🚤🇺🇸
Thanks larry!
Do you have any US dealers?
No we sell everything factory direct
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters do you offer financing?
How about small bearings on those pivots?
Dont think its a bad idea, but i think it would be a little more maintenance if say a seal tore or something like that. Not really a whole lot to go wrong with the plastic bushing
