    There was a long term test, like 60k, on high powerd sedan a few years ago and the ISF was the only 400+ hp car that got over 20 mpg. Also, the car had the lowest maintenance costs.

      Bought a used 2010 isf 3 years ago for 21K. Lexus serviced every 5k, for 95.00-220.00. The 120k service at Lexus Will be 1k (spark plugs, and valve inspection). I’m lucky to have 3 dealers within 35 miles that compete for my business)Besides tires, brakes, and a new battery, and the rear view mirror issue(fixed free). And this One thing. If you have the upgraded Stereo, like mine, and you get the rattling middle dash speaker issue, Lexus wanted 500 but to replace, but all you need to do is go to a stereo store, and tell them the speaker is loose, well they repaired mine for 30 bucks. There’s TH-cam vids on how to fix yourself, but I just didn’t have the tools.

    The Lexus all day every day. I've driven both and the ISF is much more superior in pretty much every area. Lexus is more reliable, better performance, better interior, cost less, cheaper to maintain... it's a no-brainer.

    • @Mikab61
      @Mikab61 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J.D.Powers rates cars based on consumer feedback. They don't test them. In other words if more Lexus owners write in and say good things about their cars and Audi owners don't bother writing then Lexus gets a higher rating. Buick got the same award. You also realize that Craig Stanton who tested the cars was working for Toyota and being paid to say good things about the Lexus? Look at the exact same comparison by Edmunds, which is considered a very reliable and honest auto information source. The Audi wins by far. Also be fair the Audi was a 2007 model, a seven year old model. Are you afraid to test current model to current model?

    The Rs4 is a real and true classic which always will be, not to mention a work of art inside and out. A purists car, analogue and as raw as they come. Its drivers having often the most discerning of taste and class. One of the greatest moments in the Audi automobile history and copied by many although never beaten. The Germans know what they are doing here. (Why drink Pepsi when you can enjoy fine wine:) ?

    reliability, Lexus wins. But this comparison is between top of the line compact executive cars, and the fact is that the RS4 was named world performance car of the year when it came out in 2007, winning against the 911 turbo, 911 gt3 and ferrari 599. The LF-A was a great performance car but Lexus needs to step up their performance if they want to compete with german competition.

      Are you guys really that naïve to think that the Lexus is built in Tokyo of only Japanese parts? First Audi builds its engines in Hungary, not Czech. Toyota, ooops, Lexus has parts plants all over the world for this car. More than 51 plants plus a lot of the parts from brakes, tires, oil and lubes, hoses, belts, paint, interior materials, stereos, glass, etc... are built by outside manufacturers, Including some in China. Check the battery, wiring, computers, etc... Only the Name is Japanese Quality.

    I dont feel that reliability is measured over 24 hours of high rpm driving. It is measured over years and hundreds of thousands of kms/miles in different climates, altititudes and environments.
    Please look up the 2013 JD Power Reliability index. As much as I do not like these kinds of "surveys", there is some truth to them. There are many Japanese brands near the bottom of this list and German brands at the top. If you want to compare Audi to Lexus... this may hurt... look at own risk :)

    RS4 takes 4.7 seconds to 60mph while IF-F takes 4.8 seconds to 60mph, so the difference is between the driver, and, because the RS4 had a better braking distance, it won the first test. In the second, AWD always betters RWD at low speed cornering (no understeer at that speed), plus the RS4 was quicker so it won that test. No idea about the lap time, though.

      Exactly right! Too bad Craig is on Lexus' payroll, as he should have explained his comments better. Comparing an older heavy Audi with 4-wheel drive to a newer lighter Lexus, is like comparing a 1990 Corvette to a new Nissan GTR. Hardly fair or accurate. Lexus and Infiniti do this in all their TV ads; comparing a front drive 4 cylinder Audi A4 to their hot new sports sedan. Sure it has 100 more horsepower. But it isn't an honest comparison. Maybe put them both on snow with stock tires and lets see which does best in these tests?

      Mikab61 Spirited Driver Wow just because Lexus beat your precious Audi? "like comparing a 1990 corvette to a gtr" LMFAO! The RS4 in this video ca?ome out in 2006-2007, the isf came out in 2007-2008. How is that so much older? you are telling me a car becomes outdated after 1 year? haha wow

    • @Mikab61
      @Mikab61 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wow, just because I told you this video was made up for Toyota and it did not beat the Superior Audi you start calling names! Ok, If you would pull your head from out of your cheeks and look at Edmunds, and Motor week and other contemporary test you would see your over priced Toyota piece of regurgitation was actually slower and lost every test to the Audi. I don't know when you think this Lexus Failure came out but it was mid 2008 before it was offered for sale in the USA due to production problems. Sister works for Toyota so I know what a piece of XXXX these are. What you don't understand is that the Audi was designed 2003 and was finally released in 2006. The F was announced in 2001 but shelved and it wasn't actually designed until around 2006. And yes three years of technology in performance cars is like a lifetime. If you were in the auto business like I am you would understand this. Yes like computers 1 year and they're outdated! The ISF is called F because it is a failure. Lexus F types never won a race, and are not bought by knowledgeable enthusiasts because they know they are luxo mobiles and not serious sports sedans. And while we speak Audi RS4's and 5's are winning races all over the world. And the F type? Not one race! Boo hoo for your precious car you LMFAO! Wow what a doof!

    We shall see on the track. The ISF is up against the BMW M3, Merc C64 AMG, Audi RS5, Chevy Lumina, Jaguar XFS R, the Maserati Quattroporte and the Chrysler 300C in the International Superstars series.
    So far, the Audi RS5 has shocked everyone with it's speed and handling, so much so, that new balance rules were introduced after the first three races this season, slapping a 100kg balance weight on the Audi PLUS a tighter inlet restrictor...
    Next race - Vallelunga near Rome on the 7th of October

    Lexus for sure --- but if someone likes to learm car repair, then Audi. I learned from my previous two Audis, if I had a Lexus from the beginning, I would only know the oil change so far ...
    This is the ONLY advantage Audi has over Lexus.

  • @eleonik76

    ...the only good thing that Audi really makes is the aluminum ASF (space frame) the body panels are fitted very solidly,and the interior is one of the best on the market ( though the last Lexus IS is with no doubt winner there) Underneath Audi is crappy BOSCH electronics that can ruin any mid class family budget easily :) Fuel pumps,injectors,electronic steering,ECU,air condition,xenon lights..the list goes on and on..

      I own an RS4, but I disliked this video because of the shitty editing, and filters they used. I'm fine with the results, I love my car. The Lexus is a good car as well. It all depends on the driver, and trusting your driving ability and your car.

    • @ifudiscusswithmeurprobably7273
      @ifudiscusswithmeurprobably7273 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disliked because of the "fun-fact". I'm sure that not many people will drive this on a track like he did. It's more interesting to see differences between security in rainy situation, snow, aquaplaning and then of course like he did just by comparing performance. But I personally give a fuck if i have 0.4 sec difference on a race track.
      And by the way. I'm a Audi fanboy. Yes! But I have much respect for Lexus. Toyota can built cars that live forever by maintaining them with basic tools. That's impressive. Those japanese engineers are really good.
      But the comparision here does not help anybody here. If you go to race with this cars on a track you do well by not using a stock care. You will boost performace take off weight as much as you can. So for everyday users who actually can afford this car this video is useless. => -1.

    Most of you must never have owned an Audi before. The reliability is so bad on their cars that it's actually insulting. My father has an 08 m3 and yes it is nice but still foes not have much torque and it is noticible. Never owned a Lexus so I can't make a full judgement on it but I heard the car requires little maintenance.

      The Lexus IS three years newer, but in the same car age 'group' of2005-2011. The previous would be 1997-2004. These things are made up by me to help get an idea of what car should be compared with what.

    I love how they went through this entire review never mentioning that the audi is awd while the lexus is rear. …that's a major factor that they clearly overlooked. …like "oh the lexus is so much fun" (showing him drifting around).. no kidding but they completely ignored the obvious positives of the rs4 quattro system
