So beautiful. The Vik area is such a convenient point for exploring so much on the south coast. Your video makes me want to fly back for the third trip!
We were here recently and our experience with both The Lava Show and the neighbouring The Soup Company were fantastic! Once in the room and the lava starts flowing, you can really really feel the heat radiated by the lava!
Oh man, I wish I saw this video before coming back from Iceland. I was in Vic and saw the sign for the Lava show but ignored it. Seems very interesting. I just placed it in my to-do list for next time there. Thanks for sharing
Great video😁 I really enjoyed visiting the lava museum and walking through the lava tunnels when I visited. I will have to add Vik to my wishlist itinerary
What a great video. Just returned from Iceland a few days ago. Will definitely put this on my itinerary when I return. So much more to see in this beautiful country.
Great video! I just had a friend give me some Lava tea today made by Gunnhilder Stefandottir. I can't wait to try it. Your video will get me in the mood. That and sauna!
Sadly Way too expensive!!! As a family of 5 it was well over £120 for us!!! Assume it was going to last around 30 minutes that kind of cost is crazy even for Iceland!!
I hear you about the cost, especially for a big family. From my understanding, this is an incredibly difficult process to pull off because it takes a significant amount of resources to build and operate a machine that can heat rocks up to create flowing lava. That is probably want prevents others from being able to do it. It lasts closer to an hour and they stay around to answer all questions people have. While I do understand everyone has a different budget, which is totally fine, I personally feel like the experience was worth it.
@@AllThingsIceland Yeah they have to pump quite a lot of energy into those rocks to melt them, and they are not melting a small amount either. They probably also have to keep the crucible running 24/7 because the time needed to go from solid rocks to lava is probably at least a few hours to be honest.
I've been there this past Monday, as you said, is totally worth it! 🌋...and the soups right nextdoor are so delicious 🍲🤤
YAYAY!! So glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the soup is good. Thanks for mentioning that.
I wanna go there so badly! Thanks for another great video. It’s so cool you got to partner with them and talk about Vik and Katla!
A “vintage” video that I just ran across 🙂 We visited the Reykjavik location today of the Lava Show and LOOOOVED it! Great video, Jewells 🥰
🎉Thank you for letting others share the experience via TH-cam.❤😊

I was sooo close to there! I didn't know it was there though while I was enjoying a trip to the beach though
Yea, so many people are not aware that this place exists. They have another place now in Reykjavík! 🥳
My dad is a giant geology nerd, I'll have to tell him about this.
I’m sure he will love this! 🥳🥳🥳
Save the sweater for me . I’m coming to Iceland to get it 🥰🥰🥰
🥳🥳🥳
Very interesting and a bit scary😂😆
It def seems scary but they do an amazing job of making it safe, fun and fun to watch.
Am I hearing a hint of icelandic accent there Jewels?
😅😅 possibly
Can you tell us about the trolls? 😊
Yes! I have a short video I did about it. You can find it here - th-cam.com/users/shortssiCm8k662ZI?feature=share
