- Not all Scanners will relearn the newest style sensors to your car. If you have an older scanner, the newest technology in the newer style mx sensors will not see it, it will come up on the screen as Sensor not seen.
So you would need a newer updated scanner to reprogram and relearn the newest style sensors... You live and learn and end up buying new updated tools..😆

Here is the Autel Store that I purchased from go visit the site and place an order or two, found on Amazon
I've shared a Brand Store on Amazon with you. www.amazon.com...
For the record, selecting TPMS Diagnostics assess the TPMS for any faults (dead sensors, wrong wheel position, diagnostic trouble codes, etc.). Otherwise, select Position Relearn to do a proper relearn.
Looking at the differences between the TS501 Pro and the TS508, the one difference I can see is the "Quick Mode" and "Advanced Mode" merged into one single selection.
And the price difference of $100.00 dollars and WiFi...
@alyoungcuda That's true on the TS508WF. Considering I have a non-WiFi version of that tool, the original TS508.
@jtr990 i have the ts408 and it didn't work for the toyota..Autel said I need a new version scanner to program the new technology in the mx sensors..
@@alyoungcuda Those technical changes underneath the MX-sensor did caught many Autel users off-guard. Especially for anyone who owns the company's diagnostic tablets with integrated TPMS functions (i.e.: MaxiCheck MX808S-TS) that hadn't updated their software after the subscription period expired.
@jtr990 like everything else in this world..its definitely not designed for a diy unless you update every time..just like a new cell phone
I just bought ts501 pro but i could not find 4runner under toyota vehicle.
does your ts501 pro have 4runner? i did the update already.
What year?
Will this work with sensors that are not autel?
Yes, it will read the ID from your old ones and you can either automatically program them in to the cars computer or write them down and manually type it in, make sure its the same frequency.
Thanks for the response. They are the same frequency but another person commented that they need to be the same protocol also. The sensors are 433mhz and came off porsche macan and are going on a mercedes gle which also has 433mhz.
I have a Mercedes E220D from 2017 and I bought wheels from an Audi A6 - can i change the TPMS sensors and put them "into" my Mercedes??
@@maxziqqi I don't see why not,as long as the sensors have id numbers you can program them in..but make sure Audi and Mercedes uses the same frequency ..if not, they won't work
@@alyoungcuda both are 433mhz - but my car register the sensors on my winter wheel set, after a few minutes driving, but not on the summer wheels(from Audi) which I dont understand - BUt, what youre saying is, that they have some sort of programming, that the TS501 read out from the sensor and can then add to the car? - then I am definately buying one! - thanks
@maxziqqi computer needs to see the programmed new sensors, it won't automatically read the audi sensors
