I loved this video! I enjoyed watching you talk through the thought processes that brought you to your final recipe. After watching many of your videos I am beginning to see principles carry over from one recipe to the next. There is no doubt in my mind that you are an experienced cook, and I am enjoying learning from you. When one understands the concepts it makes customizing or tweaking recipes possible. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! I will be trying this recipe for sure!
Thank you Wendy! This is my goal for sure... teach the principles that I know so you can make anything just the way you like it! I can't wait to hear how you like the Zucchini bread!
Your recipe looks delicious! I much prefer my zucchini bread very moist. I usually put almost twice as much zucchini as called for and add chopped walnuts and it’s good even without icing! Thank you for showing how to make it in the Foodi. I’m sold. 😋
When my boys were little I would get those Wilton Character Pans for their birthdays. When I prepared the pans my cake decorating instructor recommended that we use Crisco to spread on the pans and then instead of flour use granulated sugar dumping the excess. When the cake baked it formed a nice finish on the sides and bottom and made it easier to decorate. There really wasn’t a lot of sugar but it did taste better than the flour. I used to do all my cakes that way.
I watch a lot of your videos and I swear every single time that your ninja foodi goes off I walk over to mine because I think it’s mine and I haven’t even turned mine on yet😂😭 IT NEVER FAILS!!😂😂😂 Great video I’m gonna try this today
Louise that as turn out really well if you asked me but am just starting with the Ninja Air Fryer i.ve followed you on a few videos and everything i.ve with following your video as turn out great Just like to say thank you for this Video Louise
I loved that you continued filming even with the “mistake“ and let us see them both. I’ve made lots of pressure cooked cheesecakes but it never occurred tome to try that with something like a quick bread. Not sure I’d know how to convert that recipe for a pressure cooker.
I just made Zucchini bread Keto style in my new Bunt pan following your time and temperature. It turned out absolutely delicious! Cooked all the way through? Thank you sharing all the helpful tips. ,
I enjoyed your video. The main new thing that I'm taking from it is that you used a a food thermometer to test if the middle was done. It seems to me to be more precise than depending on a toothpick or cake tester. I like that idea and is the 200 degree internal temperature valid for most baked goods like quick breads, cakes, etc.? I will consider using my food thermometer to confirm how done the center of loaf cakes are.
I think I can safely say that 200 degrees is a good benchmark for baked goods. Brownies you might want a little under that, but it's a good temp for most baked goods.
@@TheSaltedPepper I make the banana bread from Ninja Foodi however I add walnuts but 3 times now there is always soft uncooked center section about 2 inches deep … recipe calls for 40 mins 325 any ideas how to fix this because I like the compactness of baking in the Ninja 6 qrt please advise your thoughts thank you efc
Hi! I'm wondering if you can answer a question for me! I have two foodis, the old school one (that works great) and the newer one with the thermometer. What exactly is the bake/roast function? Can I put corn bread in the bottom of my foodi and bake it? I like to just pour muffin mix in a pan and make a quick bread instead, do I need a separate pan to set in the foodi or will the pot work?
We home cooks make things for the taste!!! Doesn't matter if it isn't pretty it's RUSTIC! If we want pretty we go to the well paid CHEFS.... It's their job to make it perfect!! LOL! Don't apologize, You are doing Honest to goodness home cooking! Yum! Thanks for sharing 😏💝
I also found that when I baked it for 35 and let it sit in the foodi with the heat off for 5 minutes, it cooked just a little more without getting dry. Give that a try!
Yay! I am so happy you liked it. What GF flour did you use and was it a 1:1 substitution? I get asked about this alot and I haven't tried it with GF flour.
The GF flour I use is from Dove (UK) and is an all purpose flour, so I’d guess any GF all purpose flour would work too. I used 1:1 to your recipe and it was perfect! I love the frosting too.. definitely sets off the zucchini bread. 😁
I made the zucchini bread yesterday. Tasted great. One problem. It sank in the middle. Before I even Took the Temp. It came out like that. Any ideas as to what could have gone wrong? I did a little research and it would seem that zucchini is like chocolate chips and doesn't like to be mixed well. Is that true? Also when I went to squeeze out the juice from the zucchini there was not nearly as much as yours was. HELP. Want to make it perfect for a good and long-time friend for her Birthday.
I think it might have been to much water in the zucchini and quick breads in general don't like being overmixed. Did you preheat the Ninja Foodi? Maybe try preheating on a higher temp next time and make sure your baking powder hasn't expired. Although, I have used very old baking powder without any issues, I'm just trying to think of every possible angle. Feel free to email me directly and I can even hop on a Facebook chat with you when you go to make it the next time. I really want it turn out perfect for your friend's birthday! Loved zucchini bread since I was a child. Brings back so many good memories of baking with my parents.

I have never heard that tip before, thank you! I'm going to try sugar instead of flour next time!

The zucchini cake was baked in the Ninja Foodi, I didn't use the PC function but I have many times with various cakes and such and it does a nice job.

We need that recipe over Ninja Foodi Fresh & Healthy meals for sure! So glad it turned out, what flour did you use?

I will try this, I just ordered the 7" pans! Can I add walnuts? Also can i use this recipe for banana nut bread?
Yes, you can add walnuts. I would add maybe 1/2 -3/4. You could use the base recipe for banana bread I'm sure.

You can use the pot and I suggest following these instructions, using whatever mix you want: thesaltedpepper.com/ninja-foodi-cornbread/
Do you have a date nut bread recipe for the Ninja Foodi? I made soup can date nut in high school but that recipe is long gone. Please help!
I don't and I have never made a date nut bread. Maybe I'll give it a go for the holidays.
Wht size foodi? 6.5 or the 8 that the loaf pan fit in?
drmseeker it fits both sizes
Did you ever make bread in thatloaf pan? If you did when it was proofing in the ninja did it touch the top?
drmseeker I haven’t yet, but I will.

Absolutely true!
I liked the look of the 35 min one. That is what I will try.

38 minutes😉 Murphy's law when you are taping.
I learn so much from you - thank you!
Just made this (using GF flour) and it is truly delicious like you said!!! Thanks 😁
