While atlas did get beat, he wasn't killed, if that is what you meant by "folded". He is alive in god of war 2 and still holds up the pillar of the earth afterwards. Though it could be said that after the destruction of greece, perhaps he found a way to escape his bonds, as the god of war "planet" doesn't quite function like ours. My guess is greece is a "sphere" that atlas just happens to hold afloat.
