Your right hand playing is flawless considering its one take and you're singing as well... and it's such a terrific arrangement. You've really captured the essence of the song. God Bless you.
Thank you for your lovely comment. I think these left and right hand playing becomes likes flying on the automatic pilot. The less you think, the more fluent it gets. On the other hand… before I record anything, I can dream the song, I couldn’t tell you how often I’ve played this over and over. What helps me a lot is playing everything slowly and perfectly and then speed up little by little. It is very encouraging to read your kind comment. I’m currently working on two new arrangements.
Of all of these biopic movies coming out from secular music artists like Freddie Mercury, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, etc. I wish the Christian world would make one for Keith Green called “no compromise” just like his biography, which was fantastic by the way in case anyone never read it

Hi Richard, after all these years I finally made the TAB as well: www.etsy.com/fr/listing/1679460117/the-lord-is-my-shepherd-psalm-23
mijn favoriet tot nu toe ! thanks my dear !
Oh please, could you upload more videos?
Beautiful!
Thank you :-)
+AcousticSong - Guitar & Co You have a great voice and you play extremely well, for me this is a better rendition than the others I've listened to, it has a Scarborough fair feel about it. keep well.
This beautiful. I am surprised that you only have a few videos on your channel. Did you start another channel?
Thanks so much, Alan... No, no other channel, I should go to work again!!!
I love this your voice sounds like Joni Mitchell
Nicholas DiBari Thank you so much! The reference to Joni Mitchell’s voice is a great compliment
AcousticSong - Guitar & Co I edited my comment JONI not Jodi lol 😂
it's simply beautiful. Thanks
Thanks Johann :-)
I have watched this video so many times already. I'm trying to play it like it do but keep forgetting the subtler changes when i sing along. How do you manage to remember every slight chord change ?
Please find the link to the TAB I finally finished!!! : www.etsy.com/fr/listing/1679460117/the-lord-is-my-shepherd-psalm-23
I saw a comparison to Joni. I can also hear Judy and Joan all mixed in with your beautiful voice.
Joni Mitchell is a genre in herself, the most creative singer/songwriter ever. If I have a small portion of her talent then I'm very happy! :-)
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 I love your voice and I could listen and watch you play guitar all day. It would also be nice to see you. More Please!!
Just now hear strings in back
Amazing! God bless you!
Thanks so much! God bless you too!
Of all of these biopic movies coming out from secular music artists like Freddie Mercury, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, etc. I wish the Christian world would make one for Keith Green called “no compromise” just like his biography, which was fantastic by the way in case anyone never read it
I read his biography more than once and loved it. He was one of a kind, very passionate about his faith!
I am a beginner and I want to play just psalms 23 just like you played , can you please make a video step by step.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback! The TAB is now available here: www.etsy.com/fr/listing/1679460117/the-lord-is-my-shepherd-psalm-23
Thankyou sir can I pay for lessons..
Maybe we can work something out? I’m a woman btw 😊. I believe TH-cam can do live streaming. There’s Zoom as well.
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 I actually love the approach as I wanna learn guitar to write my heart down , but I ain't got 2 k to spend 13 months learning chords..
Playing a song and singing and showing is beautiful..
Thankyou I'll subscribe and talk soon.x
If you're interested, I've finally finished the TAB for this arrangement: www.etsy.com/fr/listing/1679460117/the-lord-is-my-shepherd-psalm-23
Very nice!!!!!
+KeithAGrim Thank you! :-)
Your playing seems to be heavy and Vibrant. Are you accompanied by a bass guitar or a Keyboard?
Thanks for your comment! The first verse is the guitar alone, I added an acoustic fretless bass from the second verse on. And on the instrumental part I played strings on a keyboard.
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 Thank You Sister for your reply. God Bless you. But please post new videos as well. I'm waiting
Please upload more!
I will, I will! :-) Time is lacking, but I will replunge in these tutorials soon. Glad you like them
I download the tabs but do I play this with a capo on the 4th fret? In the video, it doesn’t show a capo. Also, I was hoping to have all the chord visuals but I have now been screenshooting them. I want to play it exactly as you did in the video. I am only on page 1 of the tabs I downloaded. It’s been 3 day now.
@@LedByGrace Hi, yes, as indicated on the TAB and in the beginning of the video clip, there’s a capo on the the 4th fret.
As for the chord grids I’ll come back to you.
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 thank you so much. I really appreciate your help and expertise. This is such a lovely arrangement you put together. It has blessed me beyond words. I am really working on it and I didn’t want to make more work for you by asking about providing the chords. As mentioned, I can screen shot them as someone also said they did in the comments. Thank you again and God’s blessings
@@LedByGrace I'm on it 🙂God bless!
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 in the video, you don’t use a capo on the fourth fret so I was a little confused is all.
@@LedByGrace Hi John,, I do actually use a capo on the fourth fret. You can see it partially (It's black: 0:15). The star on the fretboard indicates the fifth case. I just sent you the TAB with chords, hopefully it'll help you.
He used your music to touch me :D. mmm THank you
Thanks for telling! That makes me happy!
Is there a kareoke or instrumental version of this, even if it's a purchase item?
@@WhenWordsFailMe Hi, yes the music is available as a backing track. I’ll come back to you ASAP
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 yay 🎉
@@WhenWordsFailMe Hi, After spending hours searching for the file, I’ve realized everything has disappeared from my computer, even the video file as posted here… I hope one day to at least re-record the audio file, but it won’t be immediately! I guess I’m as disappointed as you…
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 It is a bummer, but it was very kind of you to look for it. Thank you! 🤗
Awesome! Makes me want to practice playing and singing more... Thanks for putting the tab in the corner that definitely helps. I'm used to learning from tab books...a friend of mine made of version more rock style with me singing but it is his song so I don't want to post it
Thank you, Phil, for your kind words :-). I'm glad you like it. Adding the chords to the clips is quite some work, but a great help to learn the song. By the way, you made me curious to hear the version you did with your friend. If/when you post it, please let me know! God bless you!
I have this song on mp3 we recorded it but he didn't mix it right because he said he didn't like how I sing its been like 5 years but I can send you the mp3 to your email if you want whereabouts are you I'm in Orlando Florida I like to try and work on Originals I've been writing for a long time myself but I'm still getting better at guitar I can't compose my own songs on the guitar yet
phil singer I'm from France :-), so not really next door... try sharing the file with me through Google+.
Please dear is it possible to get the lyrics with chords of the lord is my shepherd by Keith Green you played in this tutorial. I tried playing your pattern of some of the chords you used, men its not easy, my grips difficult, my sounds just nothing to mention about. I am excited for you, you are just great dear, I love you, you touch my life with your music, God bless you, God give you long life to touch more people. I wish I could play like you and touch lives for Jesus. I miss you live. Where are you from and where do you live.
Hi Chris, Sorry for my late reaction. I'll see what I can do for the lyrics with chords.
Hi Chris, not sure if you'd be interrested, but the TAB is finally finished!!! www.etsy.com/fr/listing/1679460117/the-lord-is-my-shepherd-psalm-23
I just read Psalm 23 and was drawn back to this video.
This has to be one of my favorite covers of any song by anyone.
By the way, do I detect an accent?
Especially on the word “death”
Thank you Eric for your kind words.
As for the accent, I do what I can, but you're right, English is not my original language 🇨🇵 🇳🇱 😁
I totally agree with you except, "...no comparison can/should be made with Keith's original version."
Oh please! The guitar and singing of your version here was hauntingly beautiful and refreshingly simple compared to the original. The solo guitar is so much closer to how anyone could imagine David rendering the song himself. Take my money! How do we purchase and download your version?
THANK YOU!!! Your comment really touches me profoundly and it makes my day. It's not for sale, but I'll see what I can do and let you know. Thanks once more! Marielene
Any hope for a download yet?
Here your are. It wasn't that as simple as that, I finally extracted the MP3 from the video file. Hope it's good enough... I'll leave the link for some days, please leave me a comment when you've managed to download the file :-)

Thank you so much for the trouble you took. I downloaded it and I'm going to cherish this. Do you have a facebook page, giving people updates on the music you're doing?
You're welcome. No, no Facebook page or site. But when you subscribe to my channel you automatically get the updates I think :-)
I actually love your rendition. And you need to get over to my house and teach me to pick. :-)
Very nice, I love it!
Thank you! Oh, and you're welcome to come over to my house ;-)
