3:44 That woman who talks about "latinos" and says "oh come on, you just want to shag me" clearly doesn't know what she's talking about. In latin/mediterranean countries (I'm italian) we don't use complimenting as a subtle way to get someone into bed. Our women are way too clever and sharp minded to fall for that bullshit. When we do it, we do because we mean it, because our women love it and we love seeing them getting bright-eyed when we do. If I say to a woman "you have beautiful eyes", it's because I really think she has beautiful eyes, I like looking into them and I like sharing this feeling with her. It is called "communication" and it gets people closer to each other, you know, not just physically as they seem to like it in Iceland. We even do it with women we're not interested in, friends, relatives and so on, if there's something we like in them. Countless times have I complimented my female friends on their looks with no double meaning whatsoever. It's just our culture, but I don't expect everybody to understand it, it's not the first time I have to explain it. Anyway, miss, no, I definitely would never shag you ffs. :D
I'm hispanic, I see both sides. I completely understand this though. I like having my beauty appreciated without it havinh to lead to sex. It's an agreement we collectively have. Latino men know we want fall for it so easily, but we like to see them try. ;) I also respect the straightforward Icelandic approach as well.
Don't know what you really mean but if you are talking about having kids outside of wedlock then the norm in Iceland is that you are supposet to share your responsibilities as a parent and take 50/50 role in raising up your child (with people not living together then one week with the other parent, one week with you). If you don't want to be a part of your childs life then of course you should pay. If you can't control your urges, or wear a protection, then it is totally your own fault.
@@MrPicky thanks for taking the time explain. I was just curious. In UK or US, if a couple decide to have a child, but live apart, the family courts automatically force the father to pay child support to the mother. They also forcibly take any assets like a house off the father and either sell it or put the mother and child in and kick the father out. Also the father is denied access and if he wants to see his child more than few hours per month he has to go to court (and pay courts costs and the mothers court costs). Usually he doesn't get access anymore. In some cases, the mother decides to keep to child even if they used protection. The father has no rights there to decide if having a baby is best. Singe mothers in the UK and US also get help from the government in terms of special financial benefits, so never work either. The father has to pay until the children are 21.
Consequently marriage has no value to men in the UK or US. And having children is too much of a financial risk to men as the family courts and laws favor the mother in the majority of cases.
Don't know the norm in UK/USA but to me, as an male adult and a father, then if a woman becomes pregnant after a one night stand then it is not only her fault. Both should have considered a protection. If you don't want to be a father to a child and don't want to pay child support it will be paid by the government - which will make the father repay it, liking it or not. I see nothing wrong with that, a condom would have prevented it for the male ;)
@@tahu1349 It was similar with courts in Iceland but with more equality towards women men have also become more equal in terms of parenting. 50/50 is the norm today if parents split, kids then spend 50% of their time with each parent then living in different houses.

The romance comes afterwards. If you still like the person you slept with, after the sex, then the romance thing is a possibility. Doing it this way you avoid leading the other person on by constant "dating" before sex. You do know that Icelanders are also in relationships, get engaged and marry from time to time right? There is plenty of romance, love and emotions on that island. It just so happens that Icelanders also have a very free attitude that lets them chose whether they want romance or not, and not be judged by their choice. How do I know? 9 dollars for happy hour? They should change the name to sad hour ☹️
Edward Alric typical american attitude, if it is not 10 cents or less it is expensive. Minimal wage in iceland is 3500 usd and avrage wage(I work as chef there) is around 5000 usd.

The cousin-lover app seems a little akin to 'The Chart' from the television series 'The L Word'. ;)
Can you do Portugal and Spain and Brazil!!!!!
Do foreigners have an advantage in dating because there is no way that an Icelandic stranger would be related to them haha
Yes I am Canadian (Indian heritage) every time I go to Reykjavik I bang hottie's.
@@elijahcornelius6660 Nice I'm Filipino and it's time to save money to set up my game in Reykjavik! Cheers!

I want to bang an Icelandic woman if she is that sexually open but respect her too as well.
@@MrDigitalman78 I see you edited your comment.....you added that "respect her too" part did you..... Nice touch.....really. It made you look sensitive....
I like this series you should do it on more countries!
Everyone is related in every country. We all descend from the same organism
There's more people subscribed to this channel than people living in Iceland.
Very nice episode!
Great Vlog!
I was an AFS student in Iceland. It wasn't QUITE this bad as a teen but I went on to study at UW--Madison so what do I know!
Great to visit and meet new people! Probably wouldn't date, a little to cavalier for my taste.
now the dirt bags are going to make a mess of the only clean place we had remaining
@@meacomefeyou They are riddled with highest rates of STD's in Europe and fuck their cousins, NOT exactly a clean place is it
Iceland is a Tinderized country. Wow!
OMG AMAZING, DO DENMARK NEXT ^_^ !!!!!
"Why are you doing this to me Marina? Huh?"
10:24 We know how that ends lol
Clamydia haha
Your videos are soooo good
Absolutely love your videos.
Where do you get your music from?
Love it!!!
" Everyone as clamídia..." Better not mentioning it in the ad campaign 😁😁😁. Great second half, looking forward for the conclusion.
Ever heard of a condom?
I know a guy went to whore country Philipines he
Got sick and died before the next month.
Do they gave alimony or family law etc in Iceland equivalent to the messed up systems in the US, Canada or UK?
If they are not dating ... so how do they get to know each other and then marry ?
When i go to Iceland i will wear Goku Gi with a 竜 kanji. Girls would love that, they have to.
I love your video
Keep the amazing content coming Marina! I loved that this video was more of a blend between dating and travel vlog. Can't wait for part 3 and to see how the date with an icelandic went 😄
Thanks again, girl! :)
can't wait to try out the local food!
I imagined it's a beautiful place to live but watching these videos and knowing the cultures, it sounds like a fucked up place, pretty sad to live in iceland i imagine!!
I had lived there for one year, and yes you are right apart from the natural beauty there is nothing much like culture or history and people are cold, dumb and uptight. Women are crazy feminists. you would get bored of them.
Kierian. You used a small i in I. That is fucked up.
@@deeeeeel And your use of had before lived is also incorrect. You should say: I lived there
@@sturlajonsson8992 I believe you don't have anything else for a counter argument which just proves that both of them are right. Stick to the point or else fuck off.
Yes especially since feminism and the smart technologu came i find Iceland to be crappy in culture. Decades ago people did a lot more of meeting and socialising.
Tabitha is so gorgeous! 😧🙌🏽👑💕
Right?😍🙌🏽😍
No.
Take me to the Iceland right now. 😳😂
They actually gave captions in hindi, i can't believe, wow ♥
Yeahh, I just found out after your comment, that's amazing na 🤩🤩🤩
This is how it goes down when an Icelandic woman meets with an Icelandic guy for a date:
Woman: Hi.
Guy: Hello. Why do I hear boss music?
Woman: What kind of boss music?
Guy: Sweet Home Alabama
i found no difference between this and part 1 lol. Why did you even need a part 2?
" Not gonna get away from the Latin Luver' sweet talk in Iceland?"... but that always works out here in the states!🤣🤣 Iceland is weird!
@Sergio Díaz Nila yeah she'll get the machismo, possessiveness and a bunch of empty passionate words.
It seems as though Icelanders don't even know what romance is so their opinions and/or knowledge about romance sounds shallow and juvenile. "beautiful eyes", babies with practical strangers? Sounds like they believe the "spice of life" is salt.
Mmmm salt...
We just don't like the cheesy pickup lines lol, just get straight to the point
I agree. No one likes Cheesy pickup lines which is why they aren't romantic. What is also not romantic is that the only "point" people are making is with their prick.
@Pretzel Boggins You're stating that the creation of fantasy, whatever you mean by that, is a bad thing,
but I think you're a little too easy there. Giving yourself naked in front of people you don't share anything intimate with, and therefore neglecting the emotional value of sex, doesn't sound natural.
Nice video and thanks for sharing, Iceland is always worth to visit. I have been there my first time in september 2018 along 4000km in 15 days. I published it here in TH-cam 7days ago and have already 1000 views so far, thanks for watching my video!
ahhh the couple dating in the bar was really cute
Doubt the girl was Icelandic based on her English accent...
MrPicky and no mate he is the Icelandic of the couple
@@SuperSparkle95 it was obvious that he was Icelandic!
I guess since the dating pool is so small Icelanders just cut out the foreplay and go for it. It's good in some respects but after a while it must be exhausting.
2:59 i work at the indian restaurant
Agree. Blue lagoon is not romantic. But what about the northern lights?
Funny thing I have Dated many different ethnic women I liked the exotic type beauty’s but I always ended up in serious relationships or having feelings for Scandinavian women and especially Swedish girls I did a DNA 🧬 test and it came out danish Norwegian German and English lol 😆

Awesome series
Where is the romance? There's only random sleeping around. No intimate feelings, no love or emotions. I felt pity for these people.
Because I am an Icelandic woman.
"From time to time" being the right term, lol
I can give you romance ;) Hook me up

Ever heard about a product named condom? It is quite popular in Iceland ;)
