I just discovered your videos. I love your dad and that generation. I just lost my 97 year old grandmother, who was fully independent and had no cognitive problems. She cooked dinner for everyone up to the day she got tired from a stenosed aortic valve that was to be operated on when covid hit....... she laid down August 2, to August 18, 2021 and we had conversations up until the day she fell asleep and didn't wake up. What a graceful and peaceful way to pass away. Her last words to me, "I'm going to miss you" She was one in a trillion. I enjoyed our conversations, wish I had taped them as you are doing.

Hi from Australia. Keep doing what you’re doing for your father. My father had dementia for 7 years and he was looked after at home. His geriatrician told us that if he was placed in a nursing facility he would have been gone within a month. Family is everything. No matter how frustrating things get, enjoy every minute of the journey and create heaps of memories. Well done and wishing you heaps of strength and patience.
I am black and my husband is white been married for 33 years. Met in highschool. Interracial couples weren't that prevalent in our day. We fell in love with one another. His dad is 91 years also and mom now deceased. They accepted our relationship pretty well. I think it had a lot to do with there marriage. His Dad was Irish and mom was Italian. My Mom survived being on a ventilator and the doctors told us she would never walk out. Not only did she walk out, she lived 8 years after. My father and my Mom were always together and I’m so thankful for that time. Now I’m looking after my Dad ❤️

I just discovered your videos. I love your dad and that generation. I just lost my 97 year old grandmother, who was fully independent and had no cognitive problems. She cooked dinner for everyone up to the day she got tired from a stenosed aortic valve that was to be operated on when covid hit....... she laid down August 2, to August 18, 2021 and we had conversations up until the day she fell asleep and didn't wake up. What a graceful and peaceful way to pass away. Her last words to me, "I'm going to miss you" She was one in a trillion. I enjoyed our conversations, wish I had taped them as you are doing.

Hi from Australia. Keep doing what you’re doing for your father. My father had dementia for 7 years and he was looked after at home. His geriatrician told us that if he was placed in a nursing facility he would have been gone within a month. Family is everything. No matter how frustrating things get, enjoy every minute of the journey and create heaps of memories. Well done and wishing you heaps of strength and patience.

I am black and my husband is white been married for 33 years. Met in highschool. Interracial couples weren't that prevalent in our day. We fell in love with one another. His dad is 91 years also and mom now deceased. They accepted our relationship pretty well. I think it had a lot to do with there marriage. His Dad was Irish and mom was Italian. My Mom survived being on a ventilator and the doctors told us she would never walk out. Not only did she walk out, she lived 8 years after. My father and my Mom were always together and I’m so thankful for that time. Now I’m looking after my Dad ❤️
