The control lamp is connected in the circuit for electrolysis of alumina to know the concentration of electrolyte. If the electrolyte is strong then bulb will continue to glow brightly. As the concentration of electrolyte decreases the intensity of bulb decreases as well. Hope it helps junior.

Bro she completed in 20 mins too, it's just a that Hoope's process isn't included in our syllabus but she has taught it in the video resulting in a video that's 5-6 min longer 🤷🏻‍♀️
