This was a practice run for the NZ Open. It is run under MTBNZ rules which require marshals to be stationed along the course. The marshals blow a whistle to alert spectators or riders that have stopped that another rider is coming. The marshals can also raise a yellow flag if there is a caution ahead and can raise a red flag to stop the riders.
@@mjames131 To be honest everytime I've been to the adventure Park the trails have been super dry and full of ruts and braking bumps, thank God I've never paid to ride there. It seems that the trails are just built and not maintained.
It us a shame it's all so blown out at the moment but remember GC is actually built and maintained by volunteers not CAP workers. Also as it's been so dry recently it's very hard to maintain the trails, its like adding dust onto dust, it just gets blown out immediately, as soon as it gets some rain they'll be on it.
Awesome video👍, what does it mean when the people on the side of the track whistle?
