To me it’s the adult realization that: you didn’t make ninja turtles you gave them cancer, let’s put it down like billions of animals, (the nonchalance of death and illness due to science and technology): the humor for Randy is of a kid dreaming of tv-show fantasies so much so to attempt something above their grasp and fail via a bad experiment. It’s not just her failure was funny to him her failure was routed in being naive. His reaction is so unempathetic and doesn’t sugar coat any of the brutal reality and enjoys how the thought process of a child was flawed. (Which mistakes should be expected it’s a kid, there’s a way to break bad news and a way to take joy from someone’s misfortunes) To regan it’s horrifying because she had a dream to do something cool, made a mistake infront of someone successful, told she fatally poisoned her pets and that they would be euthanized and was laughed at. Her resolve to be a scientist and develop thought processes never changed and she could easily make an army of tmnt clones if she wanted but there’s no joy in making something cool to entertain someone that takes joy in their failures being darkly comedic/flawed. She’s a perfectionist because there’s no room for mistakes and failures She’s then presented with the reality she herself has been experimented, tweaked, altered, and manipulated at the wims of someone who determines ‘what is and isn’t mistakes’ (fundamentally subjective to ones experiences) in that moment of realization/knowledge of the entire situation/people/places/times in an omnipresent fashion she breaks from the cycle and retaliates by setting boundaries with extensive threats rather then immediate annihilation

It is also a predictable show. The tv doesn't carry many lingering story lines other than the robot president and the boss of Incognito. Everything else feels like an adventure time episode. A story within its own episode. And each episode is 24 minutes. So the storyline is very basic and predictable

Unless they work for cognito and have the highest security clearance, she wouldn't be allowed to tell anyone anything that actually causes her problems. And I imagine that any therapist who had that level of clearance might actually know too much. It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that they would prevent anyone from having that level of clearance, and would rather just kick you out if you become mentally unstable rather than try to fix you.

Welp, we’re all just neurons. Gotta start someday." thats basically memory ricks exact reaction when Rick is going through Birdperson's memories

Inside Job is one of my new comfort shows! I got hooked on it more than I ever did with Rick and Morty. I'm a huge Futurama fan as well which is part of why I clicked with it fast, the humor and characters feel similar.
