Spare a moment for the absolutely out-of-this-world passionate commentary of especially the last few corners as well - evoking Allen Simonsen's legacy and finishing with zero breath to spare!
Incredible drive from the Flying Aussie Craig Lowndes! So cool, calm, and collected under such immense pressure during those final minutes. And now he's a two time winner of the Bathurst 12h race. Hats off to him. Maan, I love GT racing. Forza Ferrari!
It wasn't just the final twelve minutes; I found the last three hours to be fantastic. The stint by Mika Salo and his fight with the two Mercedes was tremendous.
The first few hours were epic too, Shane van Gisbergen's early stint in the McLaren was mindboggling. And in that stint he also set a new overall race lap record (for ANY race event) around Mount Panorama.
Trying to pass Lowndes on the outside of turn 2, only one bloke capable of that move and he was in the car on the inside, he was never going to let that happen. Bowe must have been getting bad flashbacks to 94 though watching that happen.
@Alex. Never seen the finish of "Le Mans" in 1969... between Jacky Ickx - Gulf Mirage (Bathurst winner too) and Hans Herremann - Porsche 908.... It was also an amazing finish!
Never really watched endurance racing but on the straight at the end of the lap why wasnt the mercedes trying to get the ferrari's slipstream, surely that would make it faster? Can someone explain
I just don't understand why the SLS kept pulling out from the slipstream even he's far far behind the ferrari, that's talking about 4,5 car length behind!!
F1 in reality since the dawn of driver aids and heavy aerodynamic systems and regulations like KERS and traction control took away the excitement of racing from all of us.
I just said it was a slow part, cars aren't going to magically leap that wall. Maybe if they were F1 cars they would have a fence there because those things are crazy in big crashes. Also it isn't like these people are spectators, I think they know more than you the risk of being there ;)
Ahh, ok i suppose the better question is what cars are these? WEC GT3 cars? I'm into Formula 1 and I know a little about rally, but I'm lost on the whole World Sportscar, World Endurance, Le Mans stuff. Isn't a "LeMans" car a WEC car? or a WSC car? I know the technical term for the highest class at the 24 are the Prototypes, but what category of racing do those and these cars fall under? I guess these would be Sportscars because there aren't any prototypes?
Backofthefield If this is the first Round of Aussi GT Series why they are drive German Race Teams in this Race who belongs to German GT3 and VLN Series??? Because outside of this Race this Teams and Guys drive no other Race in Down Under.....
Bernardo Di Miceli As the other said; Bathurst is the name of the town and race track. Mt Panorama happens to be the other accepted name, on which the track climbs and decends.
Damn you are right, it Looks veeery similar: I find out De la Sarthe Looks very similar to Le Mans, and Cote de Azur Looks very similar to Monaco F1 Track......... hm
well my dad changed to direct tv & now I don't get any of this races ,NO NASCAR the trucks do get some sports it's messed up or I may say that it's #%*&*
The commentators need to learn to shut up. We want to listen to those engines. They should left us to enjoy the last few seconds in admiration of that battle than having to listen to blah blah blah.
The commentary feed was both for the TV feed and for a radio stream, and for radio commentary a constant stream of information is needed if you don't have pictures to watch.
i'm sorry but these are not production cars. i wish there was a real production car race with no paint changes, or tire changes, no changes at all and no pit stops. and production means the model sold more than a certain number of units.
wouldn't happen. its also physically impossible. try holding a race longer than 1 hour without fuel running dry or tires scrubbing out. besides, these gt3 cars are highly road relevant, just do a quick google on the tech in them and you'll see
sorry but most "Production cars" do not last longer then 3 laps on a race track. Brake pads start disappearing, tires start to wear out, engine cooling starts to become an issue.
no true, never saw a street race? and they can do at least 200 km on full tank. and it's the responsibilty of the driver to drive so nothing would break.
ronenfe Sorry but that is completely irrelevant. Street races are not GT3 races (or casual track races) with production cars. Street racing IS NOT comparable to track racing. Watch any stock car reviews where they take it on a track. After the 3rd lap, they start complaining about brakes fading and the temperature climbing.
ohNexx ok. so they will drive slower, the point is to see how real cars that anybody can buy perform, not modified cars. they can have different categories by the prices of the cars.
UltimateEEnEFan WOW it's been a long time didn't see a bubble TV! BTW there is deference between HD tv and bubble the quality isn't bad at all in this vid???
UltimateEEnEFan It depends on what model of TV you get and what type to be honest, although I know personally I can definitely tell the difference between SD and HD. HD is more defined, crisp, detailed and spacious in the way colour is delivered. I use a 50inch 1080p plasma TV that doubles as both a TV and a monitor to my PC. When I first got it, I was really disappointed as the quality looked abismal and all wishy washy. Though when you go through the settings, you notice the TV has a lot more to give. When watching films, I refuse to watch DVD quality and Blu-rays are a mandatory requirement. Going from HD to SD is like purposely making your eyes go out of focus when looking at an object; it's horrible.

Endurance races are absolutely the best in the world!
Incredible drive from the Flying Aussie Craig Lowndes! So cool, calm, and collected under such immense pressure during those final minutes. And now he's a two time winner of the Bathurst 12h race. Hats off to him. Maan, I love GT racing. Forza Ferrari!
You gotta give props to the Mercedes tho
That was an awesome 12min. Love that style of clean, bumper to bumper race!!
Viewers of the Aussie V8 Supercars series will know that Bathurst always delivers.
2021 still remembered this epic 2014 Bathurst 12hr final laps.
This may very well have been the best finish of any endurance race I've ever seen. What an amazing finish!
Definitely in the top 10 finishes in GT racing!
Watch 2007 12 Hours of Sebring last minutes in the GT2 class...
That was another great one, very good battle.
Alex awesome track.
You need to watch Sebring of 2006 then.
13:45 reason why john hindaugh is the best sportscar commentator!!!!!
Bathurst is one Hell of a beautiful track! :)
what more can you say bout Craig Lowdnes? Utter legend!!
Still surprised that the Fiats were allowed to race... Such a difference in speed it's unsafe.
Look at those baby GT3s...
Amazing group! Love the GT3 class!
This is why people watch auto-racing.
O melhor final de corrida que ja vi na minha vida. Simplesmente sensacional.
That track is insane to begin with, 12 hour race? in this track ?ARE YOU NUTS?? this is crazy
Do you know 24h of Nurburgring Nordschleife?
That's crazy!
***** Nordschleife is a track. Bathurst is a street circuit.
TheLiquidKnight Nordschleife is a public road and is arguably more of a street circuit than Bathurst in terms of it's layout and safety features.
Altough it sounds crazy but in Bathurst there is more room for errors than on the Nurburgring Nordschleife
incredible racing,
Are they racing stock?
No , they have certain specs for series..
This was thrilling to watch on my mobile!
Absolutely Brilliant!
This gave me chills.
Awesome racing, thx Aussie! :)
Amazing Track! I enjoyed watching ;)
im more or less new to gt racing (lemans, grand am kinda, alms before merge) but now easily one of my fav motorsports
2014 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour - Full Highlights - 2014 Bathurst 12 Hour - Full Highlights
Very very nice! Ferrari best balanced car
And that was the most FUCKING unbelievable AWESOME . Bravo FERRARI
Never really watched endurance racing but on the straight at the end of the lap why wasnt the mercedes trying to get the ferrari's slipstream, surely that would make it faster? Can someone explain
I think he did that to cool down the engine.
Can we ask what tags you put on this video? Great exposure and was wondering what set your view numbers apart from other B12h vids. Cheers.
F458 is a brilliant road car and now its the only Ferrari ever to win Buthurst!
Great upload thanks a lot

10:41 Commentator use his DRS!
Great race awesome win for Ferrari
2:32 GT6
Bro we still waiting for it
Amazing.
R8 is Beastt!!!!!!!!! Love Audi dude!
Excellent upload thanks.
fantastic racing
i swear i wish i could just pick this track up and put it in the middle of Nigeria, this shit should be ours :(
I just don't understand why the SLS kept pulling out from the slipstream even he's far far behind the ferrari, that's talking about 4,5 car length behind!!
Wow that Italia 458 and 12C look alike look and sound great
The difference is that Ferrari won everithing in the last 4 years. Mclaren not.
I must come down under for this race...Can anyone down there put me up next year?
How many classes are in here?
I want to play Gran Turismo now.
Now, I am not a F1 fan anymore
man,,, just awesome...
That's was intense racing
F1 in reality since the dawn of driver aids and heavy aerodynamic systems and regulations like KERS and traction control took away the excitement of racing from all of us.
It could have been title: "No changes of position in the final laps of Bathurst." More of the same from the track that it's impossible to overtake on.
oh it rocked me to the balls... great racing.
Awesome! Just awesome!))))))
1:09
:O
Absolutely no protection for the pit board guys.
What if a car were to flip over the wall? Tomato puree!
yeah that isn't going to happen on this track at that point, very slow and incident free part of the track
punctures?
I just said it was a slow part, cars aren't going to magically leap that wall. Maybe if they were F1 cars they would have a fence there because those things are crazy in big crashes.
Also it isn't like these people are spectators, I think they know more than you the risk of being there ;)
what racing series is this? WEC?

Sorry to undermind you but this was round one of the Australian GT championship that as roman said run under the FIA GT3 regs
Backofthefield

Because outside of this Race this Teams and Guys drive no other Race in Down Under.....
I wouldn't say impossible to overtake, there's a couple of really long braking zones.
that was exiting!
better assortment of cars than 24h of Daytona
he kept the glasses!
Wayyyy better than that NASCAR shit they call racing
SLS AMG GT3 !
this track looks very similar to mount panorama
hahahahahahaha
***** lol
why is it called "bathurst 12 hour" and not "mt panorama 12 hour"
Bernardo Di Miceli Bathurst is a race track at Mount Panorama
Bernardo Di Miceli
As the other said; Bathurst is the name of the town and race track. Mt Panorama happens to be the other accepted name, on which the track climbs and decends.

The 12H races are better then tge 24H races tbh
don't agree
WOW!
Was that a fiat 500 that I saw coming down the mountain 0.o That driver was probably like oh shit oh shit don't hit any of them don't hit any of them.
McLaren looks great on the brakes!
1:30
LOL! he said FUCK!
Fact, not fuck xD
Same drivers the whole race?
No.
If that safety car/pace car didnt come out, The Mclaren would have won :'(
That Maranello Ferrari? WTF?
Ferrari 458 won eveything in the actual world motorport. Nothing like Ferrari 458.
The only race ferrari can win this year... forget about F1
iRacing Bathurst Real vs Virtual - F1 at Mount Panorama top real F1 on bathhurst, bottom video game
Forza Ferrari!
well my dad changed to direct tv & now I don't get any of this races ,NO NASCAR the trucks do get some sports it's messed up or I may say that it's #%*&*

I think the commentary was spot on. They built it to a crescendo.
I know they know their stuff but I wish there was an option to just turn off commentator feed and just want to listen to the cars.
ikra
Go to the track then lol
I wish. Being stuck half a world away makes it near impossible. I am a poor man.
and a Nissan GTR wins 2015. Congratulations Nissan
AMYAS Seek Truth fuck Nissan GTR!!

WHY NO HD??? useless uploads!!
you fucking WHINGER!
HD isn't even that good. People get too uptight about HD when really I can never tell a difference from my flat screen to my bubble tv.
UltimateEEnEFan WOW it's been a long time didn't see a bubble TV! BTW there is deference between HD tv and bubble the quality isn't bad at all in this vid???
