It’s amazing how so few notes can be so beautiful. It seems like when there are less of them, each note has a greater responsibility to the piece. Wonderfully transcribed by Siloti and played here. Elena is one of the most interesting contemporary interpreteur of Baroque pianism.

I do not hear "the golden tone" not artistry at the highest level with this rendition of this Bach transcription or her Rachmaninoff op. 32 nr. 10. Of course she has more to tell than Wang, Lugansky, Sokolov, etc... but in terms of pianism she still needs to learn a lot. To bad she is very stubborn.
