I’m going to get the 2021. I test drove the RAV4 twice and couldn’t believe how bad it felt to drive. Also, the Toyota sales force has zero interest in selling. I was told they sell themselves. Glad to not have to get the hard sell but some interest in the car would be nice!

I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport with the 1.5T. I just had my first oil change, sent a sample into Blackstone labs for oil analysis. They only detected a trace amount of fuel in the oil, normal range is 2%. Better than what's expected. So far no oil dilution in the 1.5T. Looks like Honda corrected the problem.

I have a 2019 CRV with the same engine. After 3300km the oil level in my car is now 1/4 inch above the plastic part which would be 1/2 inch above the full mark. The problem has clearly not been solved for cars up north. I will have the oil changed next week. Waisted 60% off the oil life to get rid of the gas in the oil

15+ years ago, I had 6 Hondas in the family. The last one was a 2000 CRV (made in JAPAN!!!) that experienced two breakdowns before it hit 37,000 miles. The first one was fixed after civil war with the stealership - it was under warranty but honda refused to honor it. The second - MAJOR - failure (transmission) occurred @37,000 miles, and honda - both stealership AND headquarters - refused to participate in repairs. Next day I was driving a 4Runner that I still have today with 230,000 miles of severe service with about $500 worth of repairs.
But the reason I am writing about it - I have not looked back at honda since 2004 - today is because I just saw a CRV at Costco, and the sticker stated that transmission is made in Malaysia, and the vehicle is assembled in Mexico.
Now, considering my experience with honda made in Japan, try to imagine what this masterpiece holds in stock for you!
Bottom line: STAY AWAY FROM HONDA - IT'S NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE PRIOR TO 1999 WHEN THE OLD MAN WAS STILL ALIVE!!!

Yes...2018. My first SUV. And you really can get 40 miles to the gallon..im proof of that. Rides great...even back seat. Has all the bells and whistles. Have driven a Mercedes for the past 18 years so I was taking a big leap....big leap. Haven't regretted it once. Have had no problems but one...i went to a glass place to have my windshield replace..they asked me if I had Lane Assist...i said yes...they replaced it ...i drove home but the Lane Assist wasnt working...found out they didn't put the right windshield in...it has to be an OEM windshield...so had to get them to replace it...for free. Should have taken it to the dealership to have it replaced...so beware...make sure they know the correct one to replace it with.

They dropped the 2.4 L, every model basically looks the same, and the plastics being used on exterior trim is horribly cheap. I drove thru a dealership and noticed that the door handles that had sat and faced the afternoon sun had already started to turn gray..They seem to be focusing more on technical gadgets and turbos and less on the quality of the overall product. Honda just lost a loyal customer.

I asked Honda Canada.. didn't get clear answer.. they said it was in previous models 2017 and 2018 , but I saw same issue with people having in 2019 models too.. not sure for 2020,, but I guess it is still there. Drive long and keep changing oil frequently is not a solution

xxlxpman last time I had this issue is 2006 with a Toyota Sienna, would stall or not even start. I switched to Honda in 2012 and have not looked back. No oil dilution in 2010, 2016 or 2020 CR-V’s

They've done nothing to address the terrible and somewhat dangerous blind spots still exist in the rear corners with this particular design. Not good. Still has the same cheap crappy gearshift knob. The 1.5 turbo engine has had major oil dilution issues. No word on rather they worked it out? Those engines have been terrible and only offer a few more horsepower than the reliable 2.4l engine found in the LX models. Still the same great leg room and cargo space. gas mileage is fantastic for a mid-size SUV. Handles well and maneuverability is great for a vehicle of that size. The slightly darkened headlight housing is a slight improvement. Exhaust finishing is improved. Still looks the same in terms of body design going back to 2017. Overall, nothing gave me the "wow moment" in terms of improvements. I will pass on this until they come out with a whole new design. The overall Honda reliability that we've been used to in the past seems to be lacking these days. I've owned 5 different Honda vehicles going back to the 90's so I can say this with absolute certainty. My 2017 CR-V may be my last Honda until they can pick up the quality level to its past glory.

1.5 turbo oil dilution with gas by Gasoline Direct injection also valves carbon up by GDI process pair that with a CVT trans that start failing
At around 70000 after warranty. You better do your homework before you buy. All the pretty bells and whistles mean nothing if the power train
Self destructs after warranty.. = LEMMON

Somebody in Honda just had a brain fart. So they replaced a perfectly matched engine and transmission in a car that was the best selling car in its category CR- V with total dreck. Excuse my French. A shity engine connected to a shity Transmission that will make the consumer cringe every time they smell gasoline in the cabin, every time they have oil leaked, every time they have to remove burned gas oil mixture from the cylinders. In a word - dreck! Don’t buy the 2020 model. Unfortunately for all of us the last good model was made in 2014. I know, I drive 2010 , it’s perfect.

I’ve had 2010, 2016 & 2020 CR-V never had a repair issue, my 1998 & 2006 both had oil dilution issues, they wouldn’t even start due to ECU issues, constantly stalling at less than 120,000 km. Also had a 2011 Toyota Sienna with an engine belt that snapped which destroyed the engine. Toyota is more expensive now and the quality is really poor

Fed up about cars, they make us poor, is no longer luxus have camera, bi- zone clima( work for nothing) ,and all this secure equipment so we think we drive safe. A car is only a transport from A to B, no help that he is expensive, he give me no food and no exclusive road! And i need stop for red light as a poor cheap car must do! Shit!
