A glorious story about Catherine. I enjoyed it particularly because I knew little about her. She was clearly very pious and raised her children well. As always Jon, thank you for sharing ❤xx
I’d never made the connection between Catherine and Lettice Knollys until this video although I knew that Lettice was related to Elizabeth I. Mary Boleyn wasn’t as a famous as her siblings Anne and George and was considered to be unimportant compared to them, but her first two children (rumored to be Henry VIII’s illegitimate children) Henry and Catherine were both important figures in Elizabeth I’s court. Considering everything that had befallen the Boleyn family it must’ve been a comfort for Catherine, Henry and Elizabeth to have those close family ties.
These AI photos are amazing and great! I dunno how u made this but it is so beautiful and impressive looking! Wish there was more about Catherine’s nature but I’m sure as it is history. These things can be hard to find! Thank you for sharing this beautiful work! ❤
Great video thank you. I studied tudor history for 5 years and can honestly say I'm not sure who her father is thank you for bringing this unnoticed tudor lady to our attention
Having read multiple historical fiction books about the Tutor the rumors are that Catharine and her brother Henry were the illegitimate children of Henry VIII. Thank you for the video!
Thank you for sharing that personal connection with us. It's always interesting to hear about these family ties. By the way, did you get your DNA sorted to find this out?
Catherine was rumored to be Henry III’s child. He paid for their (her & brother) education, and items normally not given to a dead wife’s sister (Anne Boleyn was Mary’s the younger sister ) especially one that was once his mistress.
Hi Jon. Awesome live history video I enjoyed it. How are you doing? I'm doing well and so is my cat Benjamin. Have a great day. We have a solar eclipse tomorrow. In Ontario Canada 😊
For me Catherine Carey was not only Elizabeth s first cousins but sisters too Henry VIII usher her father she has resemblance to him a tended to be overweight like him and Lettice Knollys being Catherine's daughter was Elizabeth s niece that is one of the reasons the queen could not forgive her for marrying Robert Dudley because she was a more close relative than it is believed and for me this woman was disloyal and predatory there were many men for a pretty widow as she was when her first husband died but no it has to be the queen s great love
Not really much information about Catherine herself. How she was probably named after Katherine of Aragon. How she was lady-in-waiting to both Anne of Cleves and Kathryn Howard (also her cousin). How she and her family fled to the Low Countries during the reign of Mary I. How she was the mother of the "She-wolf" who stole Elizabeth's great love, Robin. Also, she was only alive for the first decade of cousin Elizabeth's near 45 year reign, and she died almost 20 years before the Spanish Armada. 🤔 Grade: C-
Thank you HRS. 👍😊I had heard of Catherine's husband, but not of her. She was a woman of courage and gentleness. ❤😊
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate you recognizing Catherine's courage and gentleness.

Had to subscribe to more beauties! ❤
Catherine Carey was the daughter of Mary Boleyn and King Henry VIII not Mary's husband William Carey
That is just a fictional story put forward for a historical novel. Although possible, we will never know the truth.
Great video thank you. I studied tudor history for 5 years and can honestly say I'm not sure who her father is thank you for bringing this unnoticed tudor lady to our attention

How did you get back so far?
@HistoryRoadshow I had help to be honest. A friend does it for work so they helped. They have access to things I wouldn't know where to start with
It's really tough, you need someone who knows how to look for the right information, I gave up on mine 🙈

Thank you for sharing this fascinating historical tidbit! It's always interesting to delve into the complexities of royal relationships.

Gr8Job. Nie to be back. Jon...is that you or a Body Double? No need reply. You look fantastic. God Bless you and yours.
I can confirm, no body doubles were harmed in the making of this video!
Please make one of Blanche Parry! These A.I. C.G’s are AMAZINGLY GREAT LOOKING! ❤🎉🙏🥕🆗
Great video.Nice to hear about someone other than the usual more famous names
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate your support.
It's not like Mary Boleyn had the option of saying NO.
That's true, historical context plays a big role in understanding the decisions people made.
Talk about repeating yourself 🙈
It's like déjà vu all over again!
I don't know either one of you are talking about. If you are going to share a criticism please be more specific.
You look good in AI 👍
Well, even artificial intelligence has good taste! 😉

I appreciate you shedding more light on Catherine's background. It adds another layer to her story.
Oh the lady who gave birth to Elizabeth nenmies Lettice Knollys, love the name.
Lettice Knollys definitely wins the award for unique names!
👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There is no way she is NOT a Tudor
She's got that regal Tudor vibe for sure!
I've seen portraits of her with Tudor/Elizabeth of York Reddish Copper Hair and sorta Ruddy-Cheeked like Henry 8
@HistoryRoadshow What was her relationship to Lettice Knolys? Or am I think of Elizabeth I and Frances Konlys,Professor Jon 🤩 💚
Are exquisite.Where are they from???
The illustrations in this video are ..exq
I appreciate your kind words about the illustrations!
But catherine carey died in 1569!
She was not there at the end of Elizabeth's reign.
Catherine died in 1569, but even at that early stage of Elizabeth's reign, she was constantly at the centre of plots and succession talks.
I like the attempt, but there's a lot of word salad going on and not much detail into the life of Catherine.
Too vague and long winded.
Sorry for the verbal detour, I'll take the express route next time!
