Katherine’s transformation is incredible-she really was one of a kind, going from Tudor politics to becoming a religious reform champion. What a life she led! Thanks Liam
Hey Jon, Cheryl here🎉I can,'t imagine the amount of research you do for these episodes!! You must have a phenominal library! Keep up the great work! I know I personally love to research! Thanks again❤!
I’m so glad that you did a video on Catherine Willoughby. I became intrigued with her life as a prominent courtier in the court of Henry VIII when watching the 2007 Showtime series “The Tudors”. Rebekah Wainwright gave a superb performance portraying Catherine in the series as a regular supporting character.
Catherine Willoughby’s life is fascinating, and I’m thrilled the video resonated with you. Rebekah Wainwright’s portrayal in The Tudors definitely brought her story to a wider audience!
Katherine was a trailer blazer for religious rights even with queen Marry the first. Was killing all protestants she help all of them and navigate a world. That was run by man even though she had two husband's and two. Children she was a simbil of hope and freedom for all. She left a mark on history and in Tudor England she was. The original bad ass woman of her time thank you for this latest. Peace on history I love it ❤❤❤❤❤❤.
Katherine’s story is one of resilience and hope in a turbulent time. She’s definitely an inspiration, and I’m so glad you enjoyed this piece of history!
How come you left out the deaths in 1551 of her sons, Charles Brandon, 2nd Duke of Suffolk, and Henry Brandon, 3rd Duke of Suffolk? Their deaths from the sweating sickness, one hour apart from each other in 1551, was an absolutely devastating blow to their mother.
Yes, the deaths of her sons were such a tragic part of her life. Losing them to the sweating sickness so close together must have been unbearable for her.
I was watching Who do you think you are last week and it was about Andrew Lloyd Webber. Guess where his ancestral line took him to - Katherine Willoughby! Oh, I got quite excited I can tell you and I don’t even know the man - well not personally. Perhaps he’s not I to history like us but - can you imagine thinking ‘Katherine Willoughby is my ancestor ’! Well, I can for him. How I admire her mother , wonderful woman to Catherine of Aragon 🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
Her mother, María de Salinas, was a close confidante to Catherine of Aragon, showcasing the family's deep ties to the Tudor monarchy. Uncovering such lineage would indeed be thrilling, especially for those of us passionate about history.
From child bride to champion of religious reform. She was a unique person. Thank you for your video.

Didn't Henry viii consider her for his 7th queen??
The intelligent women stayed away from Henry the 8th.
