This has been the favorite song in our Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus especially every Tuesday Mass and Novena to St. Therese.

One of my favorite saints whose virtue truly deserves an imitation. Her child-like attitude has taught me to be like a child after God. To fulfill the plea of those around me, to have patience even in the times when I feel lost, broken and hopeless. To love and learn to be loved faithfully by God.
Thank you, St. Therese. As long as my heart believes, as long as it beats, may I praise God through you. To love Him with all my heart, and be a rose that grows in His heart. As long as I believe, roses shall rain from the skies.

Yeah, but is she a Saint merely because of the time period she was born in??? I'm a die hard Catholic and I love St. Therese, but when I read about her I can't help but wonder. Of course she was a Holy person....but, I mean, do you really think she would have been so eager to spend her life in a convent if she had been born in 1983 instead of 1873???
Is her holiness due more the time frame she grew up in?? Back then there were not that many opportunities for young girls. You either got married and raised a family or you became a Nun.
Do you really think Therese....a cute, young, upper-middle class French girl (today) would have followed the same route?? I highly doubt it???
