    Willful ignorance is Stupidity.

    • @edbrophy4602
      @edbrophy4602 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

This is true, and ignorance is the most significant cause of danger and evil. When something tragic finally happens, the stupid person will say, "I'm sorry. I didn't know." You might then be exposed as the one with foresight and understanding who "ignored" the need to use your response-ability. This exemplifies that people must acquire wisdom or, at the cost of all they have experience understanding.
People who can read to better understand but don't are likely to ignore that they may have many dormant capabilities that could increase their potential. When you forget that someone is stupid because they overlook the need for clarity and understanding, you also increase the threat because many people can not imagine seeing their casualness can cause casualties.

Intelegence is understanding that you can never learn enough and continuing to pursue more knowledge despite this fact. The more you learn the more questions you have. Several years ago, I discovered that I had the need to define stupidity. The first aspect that I decided was a key factor in stupidity is ignorance, but not ignorance alone. Being ignorant may mean we just don't know what we don't know. However, when we know but choose to ignore, for whatever reason, we have entered the realm of stupidity. If we discover that this works well for us, we utilize this process continuously to further ourselves in life. We become known as a stupid person. All of us humans have this type of stupidity in moments, but if we're smart we make a better choice even if it's inconvenient. Donald Trump is a perfect example of the former.

Because my guess is they didnt really know that stupidity had an actual definition, and then felt maybe intimidated when you seemed to understand what they werent even aware was a real meaning. That could just make them guilty of ignorance, not stupidity. Versus, interpreting their behavior as indicative of their stupidity.
First one might be [embarrassment, feeling stupid], while 2nd one, a truly stupid person would not have those feelings because he never considers he coyld be wrong. [Arrogance, beligerance to the point of making a fool of himself] ..well, stupid=fool

Sometimes, I knowingly select the principled choice, usually against the advice of friends. And, I pay the price for that choice. The price is usually a higher than I expected. But, I pay it without regret. A lot of people would say that's stupid. They're probably right, but I wouldn't go back in time to select the alternative.

Assuming (a dangerous thing to do) he had a normal amount of common sense, I told him if he wanted to burn trash, just go ahead. He burned a bunch of trash on a day with a roaring 30 MPH wind. One spark could have burned down the whole neighborhood, since we live in a very dry area. So I told him to ask permission each and every single time he wants to burn trash. He got mad. He was too stupid to see how stupid he was. He objected to the restriction, saying he was being careful because the trash he was burning was mostly plastic. It only takes an ember made of a little piece of paper or even a spark of heated rust from the incinerator to ignite a massive fire on such a dry day. But he's too stupid to think of that. I only burn when the dew is heavy in the morning, or immediately after a rain.

So you think it were the intelligent people who voted in this election for the genocides in office and warmongers

      Really ???
I assume you voted for Harris ?
This election should have been a slam dunk for the democrats. The republicans shot themselves in the foot with the abortion issue.
ALL they had to do was put up a decent candidate.
Keep rewarding the democrats with your vote. See if anything changes.
      Trump....
Bring back our industry, jobs, profits and the taxes all those things used to pay HERE.
Stop the never ending, avoidable, EXPENSIVE (borrowed money) wars.
He canceled the "secret". TPP trade agreement. Secret for a damn good reason.
Forced the Europeans to pay more for their share of NATO.
Which one of those do you disagree with ?
      I'm just scratching the surface.....
And, I'm not a Trump voter, not a hater or lover of Trump.

I'll try harder to be more helpful and more intelligent. Right now we have to many bandits and they wield great power. I like your teaching.

@douglasfriedman5032: Bandits don't want to be lectured. They want to benefit and (in my experience) they only change their minds by experiencing physical pain.

I apologize if this comment comes across as pedantic. In Italian, “ci” is pronounced “chi.” Therefore, Mr. Cipolla’s last name is pronounced “Chipolla.” How someone could make a video and mispronounce the author’s name of the work he is discussing is beyond my comprehension. Has the video maker never heard of “Leonardo di Vinci, or the opera composer, “Giacomo Puccini?” Has he never seen “Fettuccine Alfredo” on the menu? Talk about “stupidity!” This “stupidity,” in my book, undermines the video maker’s credibility. If he doesn’t know how to pronounce the name of the author correctly, if he hasn’t done his homework regarding the correct pronunciation of his subject’s name, how can we rely on his content? Additionally, and equally troubling, his “stupidity” is spreading “stupidity” as his viewers will ape his mispronunciation! I hope this helps.

No, he's pronouncing the name the English way. By the way, intelligent people are not so quick at drawing conclusions and naming people. Why are you so unrealistic?
