The fact is... there are far more armored units in the 7th Corps in Korea than there are armored units in all European countries combined.
The Army, Air Force, Navy, rifles, cannons, etc. are all capable of producing their own weapons within their own country! The artillery shell holding rate... is much higher than the number of shells in all of Europe combined!

Communist countries have a strict march because they practice for months, but democratic countries do not have a strict march because they only spend that time training. However, this does not mean that its combat power is weak.
Because the important thing is not the march.
Of course, it's good to see a communist country marching. It's just painful for the soldiers.

    • @Unknown-ek1ox
      @Unknown-ek1ox 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

Yeah for me it's simple: You either spend time for most of your armed forces doing fancy grand parades (like in Russia, China, etc) - or you spend the time actually improving relevant military combat or other skills.
Can't have both equally or as well. I'd rather have us democratic countries hone our combat and military skills in general. Only if that is covered and there's resources left for fancy parades, sure, then go for it.

During RIMPAC naval war game 1 S Korean submarine sank over 20 US carrier and Japanese ships other side without getting detected. Diesel submarines are much more quieter than nuclear submarines with under 110 decibel vs 140 decibel for nuclear submarines due to cooling units. S Korea learned how to build submarines from Germany which is leading submarine builder in the world. S Korean marines are 2nd largest in the world after the US. Cadet uniform is similar to first Korean officer uniforms with feather head dress from late 1800s to early 1900s. Germany had much influence during this time, so certain Prussian style is obvious. Early Korean navy in 1901 hired British Royal officer to train Korean Navy, thus familiarity.

I'm about as civilian as a civilian can get (every branch told me no but we won't tell them that's what I wanted), but the few things I've seen about the various contracts South Korea has been securing whether its their SAMs being gobbled up by the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Poland with their K2 factory, or the fairly recent contact with Peru for shipbuilding has shown that South Korea is absolutely taking advantage at the fact that Russia can no longer keep up with orders and that the US has a waiting list longer than we can budget for for once (though we are quickly ramping up production).

I imagine that some of the guys in the US attachment were katusa guys. If your not familiar with the program its actually a very cool program. It stands for "korean augmentation to the US army". It harkons back to the korean war when the us army asked for local korean soldiers to serve as translators and to help with land navigation. Its still ongoing today. So those korean soldiers will train with the us army. They are based with them. They are basically absorbed into the us military. They wear american uniforms that even say us army on them. So if you ever see a bunch of koreans in american uniforms they are probably korean soldiers that are actually part of the us military if that makes any sense.

The Korean Milltry Academy uniformed are based on the US ones because after the cease fire the US remained in Korea the US forces in Korie is as big as the NATO forces in Germany during the cold War . They used to have there main base just outside Seol but the US and the Korean Goverments got together and built a new base for the US troops the Koreans gave the land under Leece lend and also payed half of the cost for the buildings theres a Vid about it on you tube . The Koreans do have an old stile uniform if you watch some Korean dramas you will see them basicly it's depending on the Empiror darks baggy trousers tucked into leather shin high boots a long overcoat mid thigh belt with sword hook left side the sword they used was like a O Katana a round had with a brim made of straw covers in canvas then laquard over then a steel or copper band going from brim to brim over the tip the same side to side then a rounded pommel on top around the side silk cords of colour normally two to show what unit the Empirors guard had two short plumes one each side in specific colours to the Empiror. Normal troops would have one feather lying parallel on the left Officers two . Oh there Marines use the same globe and anchor as the US marines but with the Korean cymble of King and yang

They had little girls with the smell haircut and clothing, sitting around the entire track... but the kept getting up, running over to me to hold my hand and take a few step, then running back to their spot. I was so embarrassed, because they wanted the Americans to be dressed like Cowboys and girls. The ROK military was originally trained by the US so the uniforms were heavily influenced by American uniforms. South Korea never had a western style military tradition. Korea was occupied by the Japanese from 1915 to 1945. The country was split into North and South in 1945 which led to the invasion of the South by the North in 1950. The war ended in a ceasefire in 1953 and we all know about ceasefires. The war is still on, which is why South Korea has mandatory military service. Seoul is literally under the gun being within range of thousands of North Korean artillery systems.
The South has become increasingly frustrated with the North and it's increasing hostility. They've abandoned all attempts at reconciliation which is why this parade was held last year after a decade of being the nice guy. It sent a clear message to the North. Don't mess with us!

Due to the recent Korean Wave craze, North Korean soldiers and some Chinese and Japanese people who have learned Korean are pretending to be Korean and slandering Korea. Crazy Koreans definitely exist. There are crazy people in every country. Don't generalize and don't assume everyone is the same.

Keep saying 'tanks' over 'tracked fighting vehicles (K21)'; there are no tanks in this video at all. The tracked vehicles in this video are K21s (tracked fighting vehicles) and K9s (mobile artillery).

Interesting. I wore a uniform for over 25 years, and never once did I even vaguely consider comparing my uniform to anyone else's.🤔 Do Brits have military parades? We have them here in the USA (Armed Forces Day, Veterans Day, Memorial Day) but being the United "States" of America, these parades are usually organized on a local level. Back in the day (when it was still accessible) I attended an Armed Forces Day event at the Picatinny Arsenal in NJ. It was an awe inspiring event with a parade, mock military maneuvers, low level flyovers by F-4 Phantoms and live firing events for civilians (shooting blanks of course) using M-60 machine guns and M-16 rifles. It was quite the spectacle! Since 9-11 though, I don't think the arsenal is open to the public anymore.
Why in the world would you want to go visit South Korea or New Zealand?😳 Have you already seen all of the UK? I mean, I know it's a tiny country but I haven't even seen half of the USA in my lifetime. Why would I want to visit another country before seeing all of my own? Bragging rights? I'm just curious.🤔

You should actually see if anyone has done a video for the parade held during Cheyenne Frontier Days. The last full week of July in Cheyenne, Wyoming is a series of events centered around, for lack of a better term, western culture. Parades are held, which include some military groups. I think he would find it fun to react to a video of our parades. Yes, it’s my hometown. 😅
