They don't show that fencing step in the form and many teachers that aren't connected to the family don't know about it but that's part of the power generation swallow and spit

Is that you in the clip you were so lucky to have a teacher that actually knew what he was doing what he's demonstrating in that is one of the big secrets that they didn't show outsiders you were so lucky I miss my teacher he was my second dad that fencing step he's showing you is a huge secret they didn't show outsiders he must have been very close connection to the Yang family to know something like that

Thank you for your comments. It seems we both are lucky to have a teacher in our lives.

    Completely useless.

Just so you know, this teacher took part in full contact competitions in Asia and won championships. And this was back in the old days when fighters would get seriously injured or killed. Unless you’ve done the same, maybe you should just chill out.

@@Allen2saint I am perfectly chilled and perfectly allowed to express an opinion, and I have done various martial arts most of my life and what is shown on this video sucks.

@@thomasowens5824So have I. I’ve done them long enough to differentiate between a teacher simplifying one technique for a video demonstration, which is what is happening here, and what things will look like in a real fight. That elbow he uses in roll back is for in close fighting. Though he uses it to deflect a punch in this application it’s equally useful to strike the opponent’s head if he’s off balance from the roll back. But elder teachers don’t show things like that right off the bat because it scares off the people who just want to practice for health.
See how that works? I expressed my opinion, too. But I backed it up with facts you didn’t see.

@@Allen2saint No technique used in that video, from either person would be effective in a real street fight because nobody, throws a punch like that, if he tried a double block to enable a wrist hold he would never make it, nobody leaves an arm out there and the next fist is already coming at his unguarded chin. I have no idea what all the theatrics are about hurling yourself across the room, looks like Bullshido to me, but rather wasting time going into chapter and verse I efficiently called it out ....see how that works?
