Transfer plans are already being mapped out for next summer and with that said, a midfielder has just been linked to the Emirates as a possible replacement for Thomas Partey.
According to TEAMtalk, it looks like Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Partey is in the last year of his contract at the Emirates, and he’s drawing attention from clubs in both Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund has been chatting with him for months, eyeing a pre-contract deal in January so they can bring him in for free next summer.
Juventus also had their sights on Partey, but with Manuel Locatelli playing so well, their interest seems to have faded.
Arsenal's chief, Edu Gaspar, is already on the hunt for a replacement for Thomas Partey in case he decides to leave. One name that’s reportedly caught his eye is Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, who has been dubbed ‘world class’ by Rousing The Kop.
Liverpool had their sights set on Zubimendi over the summer, but he turned down the opportunity to move to Anfield.
If Arsenal decide to pursue him, they’ll probably need to shell out around £52 million to secure his services.
