After seeing the dice rolls for preparations into this game. It reminded me of a game podcast I've been listening too, Haunted City for the Blades in the Dark game. They have a similar success/failure system on d6 rolls. Where 1-3 is a failure, 4-5 is a success with a complication, 6 is a success, and two sixes, if you roll 2 dice, is a critical success. The 1-4 failure felt pretty rough to me suggesting that the player is more likely to fail, possibly even at higher tiers of play (if there is any "leveling" system).
Yeah....i think I like the system. I'm not so sure about it being stacked against the player to a significant degree. If you're rolling 3 or 4 dice, you have a decent shot at a success. And if you're rolling less, well that's a sign that your character isn't so hot in that area 🙂
@@lone_adventurer Oh yeah, for sure. BitD (Blades in the Dark) let's you roll more d6's based on your skill in a certain area. I've really grown to enjoy the system for it's interesting take on story and "combat". I feel like this game could use with a "4-5 success but at a cost".
Thank you very much for covering the game. Can i please put your link instead of my amateur videos? Btw, you have my respect Sir, going into militech as your first run need some serious guts. I am recommending in rules to start with media corp. And try to rush militech when your body will have some serious wire. BUT its not imposible to do if you will be a clever and lucky sneaker.
Hi Peter, you are very welcome to include my videos wherever you wish (but there are some rules goofs, as I'm sure you will spot 🙂). I did do a run into OmniSense before I filmed these videos, so I did have a practice run. I think I was lucky in these videos - managed to sneak around and avoid combat!
Excellent! I bought this game a couple weeks ago and still haven't played it, so the rules playthrough is perfect timing. I bought some coin capsules to put the character tokens in which really elevates the pieces.
This looks so cool, reminds me of 5 parsecs from home, definitely watching this series 😊 Also when you say savvy, Jack Sparrow keeps coming into my mind 😂
I wondered when you were going to upload this!! 😁 Its a nice little game, though I think its more like a boardgame than a skirmish game. Trying to find the time to edit my video... soon... soon!!
Ah see, you're a proper skirmish game player. For mugs like me, this counts as a skirmish game 😉 Look forward to seeing your videos to see what I got wrong 😁 skirmish game sidenote - I've got forbidden psalms (I know you're a fan) on the way. Gonna have to figure out a way to pay with no figures and no scenery, but I'm looking forward to it!
@@lone_adventurer Skirmish is easy without figures. Use a battlemat (plenty of free ones to print out on DTRPG) which has terrain already on it, and then use tokens or cardboard standees for your warband and enemies.

Great video, very exciting game, heading straight to part 2.
Hope you enjoy part 2!

Oh yeah some coin capsules would totally help - they'd be much nicer to move around...might have to grab some!
This looks like a fun and interesting game.

Haha, now I'll be hearing that too!
I was hoping to see this one covered! Thanks!
Any plans to look at d100 Space's Galaxy Builder that just released?
No problem! Won't be covering D100 Space, unfortunately, but still thinking about getting myself a copy of D100 Dungeon...

Great run through. Where did you get your copy printed?
Thanks! A company here in the UK called doxzoo.
@@lone_adventurer Thanks for the name of the company. Just looking at the prices it's cheaper to print and ship to the US than buying it here. Crazy.
