Depends on his family and how radical they are. I'm a Muslim agnostic and still have relations with my family. It can happen vice versa too. If someone converts to Islam from Hinduism, they can also be kicked out from their family if the family is radical.

What most of these people don't understand that respecting a religion and embracing it are two different things. You should respect every religion because honestly there is too much to learn in every religion and we don't have enough knowledge to comment on everything. But embracing it is a different concept all together. You will see very few Muslims/christians or any other religion wanting to embrace the Hindu culture and following it. And no do not give me the example of Salman Khan or Shahrukh Khan celebrating Ganesh Festival because here in Mumbai, almost every other living being is celebrating at that time. All he said was that they celebrate and his mother tries to get involved by preparing kheer. Kheer or payasam or doodh bhath or whatever else we know it as in our country is often associated with joy and celebration. It is ours as in it belongs to this entire civilization it has centuries old history it might be the oldest sweet dish to be prepared on joyous occasion. There's no need really to feel threatened or find unnecessary meaning where there isn't. It has nothing to do with religion either . What most of these people don't understand that respecting a religion and embracing it are two different things. You should respect every religion because honestly there is too much to learn in every religion and we don't have enough knowledge to comment on everything. But embracing it is a different concept all together. You will see very few Muslims/christians or any other religion wanting to embrace the Hindu culture and following it. And no do not give me the example of Salman Khan or Shahrukh Khan celebrating Ganesh Festival because here in Mumbai, almost every other living being is celebrating at that time. Trust me on this one. You Hindus appreciating Roza and promoting why respect it, but where does this awareness go when your family or someone from the same community is fasting for a Shiv jayanti or a Chaturthi? Fasting serves the same purpose regardless of the religion. A christain visiting church every sunday is a good habit but a Hindu visiting Hanuman mandir every saturday is blind faith? I am not against any religion but people who like to promote 'all religions are equal and beautiful' should first take a good look at their dual standards before degradng their own religion to complete their agenda.
