I love that she enhanced their natural beauty and didn't turn them into completely different people..Sometimes people become shape-shifters while using makeup
I'd say the first one isn't round at all, it's oval, the second one isn't heart shaped but more or less round, apart from the chi And the last one is rectangular. Am I the only one who sees it this way or no?
It's hard to exactly know which face shape you have because everyone has different bone structure. I have similar face structure with the 1st lady. For a long time, I thought I had oval face shape. The problem is: Oval face shape can pull off all hairstyles, I can't. I still believed I had oval face until I knew these tips. Read the instruction below if you want to know you have oval or round face: _ Round face: The widest part of your face is cheek area _ Oval face: The widest part of your face is your eyebrow area The 1st lady in this video has round face.
Huong Ly Vu no that's not correct. The widest part of my face are my cheeks. I have a very distinct heartshaped face A good way to see what shape you are is to take a picture and trace out the outline of the face, going forward from that, you can see what shape you are. Another way, and I learned that in beautyschool is to messure the space from the tip of the nose to in between the eyebrows. that length is your guide to determine the faceshape. If that same length comes back in between the eyebrows to the hairline, tip of the nose to the chin, and tip of the nose to the point of the cheeckbone. if all those are equal you are oval. If you have more space between tip of the nose and chin, eyebrow and forehead, then you have a longer faceshape. ifyou have more length from tip of the nose to the cheekbone you are more round/square
This video is EXCELLENT!!! One of the best contouring ones I've watched...And I've watched a lot of them. It was concise to the point with no unnecessary talking. I love it. Added it to my favorites and shared.
Hi! We focused on the hardest to contour face shapes. To see how to contour an oval face you can watch this video: th-cam.com/video/0Y8dFXCaJbU/w-d-xo.html
Love that video! Great contouring! The only thing I noticed was that the blush all the girls was applied too low on the cheeks and too front faced. I made their cheeks look droopy when they're supposed to be raised. So bummed there's no more New Beauty store at Fred Segal! Please open a stand alone New Beauty store in SM!
I like that this highlight/contour wasn't all heavy and the highlighter wasn't extremely white like most youtube MUAs do it. I feel like most of them go waaaay over board with the product
+Christine Williamson heart tends to have the hairline/beginning of forehead shaped like top of heart and a very pointed chin that is very easy to look like a double chin
from a straight guy's perspective, they ALL look better without makeup or whatever she's using (left pictures look better than right pictures). just my opinion...
Well being a woman myself it was the first thing I thought that they looked so much better without make-up. I don't understand people commenting here with all the hate, just be objective. And the fact that women don't do it for men? We all know it's only half true. If there was never all this beauty pressure, I think no woman would wear make up because it's saves time and it's comfortable. If you say that, try go on a date with no make up, why won't you? But we all like to feel attractive and just feel better about ourselves. Simples.
My opinion is that you put too much chemicals on young beautiful face so you can get so small, tiny difference? I don't see so much difference and I think they look way better without highlighting and contouring.. It's good sometimes to contour under the chicks but this much..... This amount of makeup for some big events... This is a result from the makeup industry and famous people..
I agree I like contour for a daily look so you don't look too flat but not too much for highlighting. Thought it was just me I just contour the nose and hairline sometimes the cheeks.
I think the efforts were to make it look natural. The brands she used were also natural too. When you can clearly see the contour, those are mostly for glamour makeup rather than just a natural face. It's meant to be subtle seeing as they didn't do anything to the eyes or too much to the brows and lips.
This was helpful THANKYOU! I have a heart shaped face and I'm a newbie so I've been trying to contour my nose and I'd always end up with a triangle nose when I was done XD focus towards the end GOT IT.
I think the problem with this is the models were too young and pretty, with flawless skin. Their after pics just looked like them with a little color added. There was no dramatic difference. The difference me without make up and me with make up is DRAMATIC but I am 47. However this was a great tutorial and I never tried contouring with foundation colors before. I have only done it with blusher. So this was interesting, and I might try it if I can figure out what the right foundation colors to use for my skin tone.
Great video ! I've never seen any mua highlight the smile lines of the face. I notice that round faces are supposed to be contoured down the jawline, and up under the chin. I've never seen that either.
How do I go about getting a contouring kit for a heart shaped face? Including all of the brushes and product that will go with it. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear in color Fresco.
I like how she doesn't really change much of the face shape, so much as accenting what the gals already had. There really isn't that much of a difference between how they started, and where it ended, as much as drawing the eye a bit more to what already made them unique. Though....on the last gal, she shouldn't have messed with the space around her eyes as much. She's got very lovely eyes, and too much makeup around them kind of distracts from them rather then accents them, making her look tired. I know a lot of people are saying she did the exact same thing for each of them, but that's not the case. The technique was the same, but pay closer attention to exactly /where/ she puts the make up, and how much she uses. This look is all about subtle differences.
Victoria Ma agreed! I felt like her face looked even more round in the after pic. Not that that's unflattering but usually those who want to contour their face do it for more definition so that it doesn't look as round
I have a square face and struggle to contour... but tbh watching the video I don't even think I particularly need to! Didn't see that much of a impact of contouring on the square face, anyone else think this or just me?
The brows don't need to be "fixed" they were sparse at the time due to hair loss and not filled in for the video... Don't be so hateful, I wasn't able to fill them in to look "normal". Sincerely girl #2
they ARE filled in , second chick. ... and horribly filled in. Those arches go up to your damn forehead. Im not being hateful, im being brutally honest .
bbyjcky1 brutally honest? what a trendy expression. But in real life if you want to make a good impact in a person's life by sharing your opinion try to use terms that are less harsh. It makes a big difference :) cheers
Do u need to put on foundation or just do contour, concealer and highlight. Can u moisturize ur skin with lotion? Or is primer dehydrate good. I dont really use skin products just wash my face. And u only bake after using concealer? Can u back ur Foundation too or just concealer . When do u bake? Do u bake at the end of the makeup?
It don't think they meant an actual square. Often, square and rectangular face shapes are interchangeable because they have harsh edges (exactly the opposite of the round face shape)
I have a square face so I know what you mean, the last girl´s face was definitely not a square. Normally one tries to but a darker shadow on the jawbones to slim it down when contouring.
can you show how you would do a fuller round face, and eyes behind glasses, especially heavy upper eyelids. i am filipino, and it is hard to do makeup on my eyelids when it hangs over so i usually use just eyeliner
I saw no change in the round face method to be honest... pretty sad because i came here looking for help on contouring and highlighting a round face structure :/
+zikashika flora Get a good haircut for the shape of your face. Not all the paint in the face. Doesn't make a difference anyway and looks stupid at day time!
I honestly think that they looked much better without the contouring!
Agree )
Yeah, this is a horrible how to.
agreed
Teresa Nguyen girl I am done😂😭😂😂I thought the same thing
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣agreed
I don't think the contour did anything magical to their faces..
The lady with the square face is stunning
super
I love that she enhanced their natural beauty and didn't turn them into completely different people..Sometimes people become shape-shifters while using makeup
yep same
i see no difference tbh
C
Me too... kept pausing to check.. 😥
Me too! I didn't see any difference either compared to their before and after contouring.
+aashly1O1 . 6yhhhb. b' vvas hb q
Sameeee
I'd say the first one isn't round at all, it's oval, the second one isn't heart shaped but more or less round, apart from the chi And the last one is rectangular.
Am I the only one who sees it this way or no?
Yes, I totally agree with you!
Thanx I saw that too! Seriously weird perception to say that the first girl had a round face...
My thoughts exactly..

I see the difference! Beautiful before and after. The after just balances everything! Love it!
THE ROUND FACE, was absolutely beautiful, before the makeup was applied. She is a natural beauty.
I didnt even see the difference after the makeup
Lmao, nor did I.
Neither did I.
true...honestly I think that the 2nd person she did made her face look more round...
Silly girls that's why she makes the big bucks!!! and we are watching her video.
Same
Is it just me or did they look worst after the contouring?
feel the same
+Dennise Dennise v true
I was thinking the same
same
b
she just made the same things in all the faces.
Yes I agree with you
So true
Yes its true
No
For me No, for rounded Face shape she put contour upward on her cheek.
They all look better before hand
"beautiful round full complexion"
"beautifully heart shaped face"
"...square face"
ok
Exactly what I was thinking, makes me mad considering I have a square face shape
+Emily Kol same xD
LMFAOOO
I re-watched this video because of the first comment. LMFAO!!
she didn't even mention the long faces like mine
The last girl's face shape
This video is EXCELLENT!!! One of the best contouring ones I've watched...And I've watched a lot of them. It was concise to the point with no unnecessary talking. I love it. Added it to my favorites and shared.
Most natural looking makeup I have ever seen on TH-cam!
What about for an oval shape?!?! 😟
Hi! We focused on the hardest to contour face shapes. To see how to contour an oval face you can watch this video: th-cam.com/video/0Y8dFXCaJbU/w-d-xo.html
People with oval shaped face don't need to contour because their face is evenly proportioned.
+NewBeauty Magazine Like a "guru" you don't know oval shape how look? That in vid.is not oval shape!OMFG:
Yup, first girl is oval face NOT round. How dumb of so called MU artist. And here I thought I couldn't tell the difference from shapes.
When she smiles it looks round though
So hard
All look same for me :/
i know right
pretty sure she applied all the exact same techniques to each of the girls *insert confused emoji here*
+Teri Rios There u go 😐🤔
Love that video!
Now that's how you contour and highlight! Looked natural yet dramatic! Respect! :-)
Omg… this women have AMAZING skin!!!!!
oh my. the "square face" girl is gorgeous . But she has a rectangle face, not a square
I was waiting for the extreme change and they ended up looking the same 😑
SAME lol
The only difference between before and after is the overall color of the face. Doesn't really 'sell' the technique.
yes right👍
Right!!!
thats what i just thought!
yes i also think that. its not worth that time for such a small difference !!
They look very orange..
agree! too warm
+femke maquillage and its not blended very well
Rd
trump😂
all the girls are pretty with out the makeup but they also look fabulous with it too! :)
Love this video!! This is the first contouring tutorial for different face shapes I've seen. Thank you
Beautiful! this will really help me with my round face. thank you!
You did well on the heart-shaped face. She looks more beautiful.
The last model's really pretty! * o *
The last girl Ana is so pretty :) they all r!
I like that this highlight/contour wasn't all heavy and the highlighter wasn't extremely white like most youtube MUAs do it. I feel like most of them go waaaay over board with the product
I have NO idea what shape my face is.
loll same 😅😅😅
exactly what I was thinking lol
mine too
same :'D
+Christine Williamson heart tends to have the hairline/beginning of forehead shaped like top of heart and a very pointed chin that is very easy to look like a double chin
loving your the style!
from a straight guy's perspective, they ALL look better without makeup or whatever she's using (left pictures look better than right pictures). just my opinion...
Well most girls wear makeup for themselves, not guys
+Bethany Brown ...thats right
lol whatever you gotta tell yourselves
yeah I'm telling myself bubby b is an idiot haha he thinks he knows what women do or want . lol you are an idiot dude
Well being a woman myself it was the first thing I thought that they looked so much better without make-up. I don't understand people commenting here with all the hate, just be objective. I think that they all looked prettier before the make-up... They were all really beautiful! :O
so the same thing for all of them?!
My opinion is that you put too much chemicals on young beautiful face so you can get so small, tiny difference? Great video with helpful tips! Just love your technique..
Amazing..did you use any foundation after applying the contour and highlights?
There's barely a difference. This isn't like other contouring vids where you can clearly see the highlighting and contour. Poor effort
jesus knows how to wear makeup
Hell yeah. This channel needs Jesus...and a prayer and holy water.
I think the efforts were to make it look natural. The brands she used were also natural too. When you can clearly see the contour, those are mostly for glamour makeup rather than just a natural face. wow the best video ever! good job!👍
thank you for giving latest ideas
1st person- OBVIOUSLY OVAL! 2nd person- closer to circle, not that close to heart at all except for chin 3rd person- actually correct
Nice and natural love it
This was helpful THANKYOU! I have a heart shaped face and I'm a newbie so I've been trying to contour my nose and I'd always end up with a triangle nose when I was done XD focus towards the end GOT IT.

the last model doesn't even need makeup. she looks perfect without any
We featured this on our blog. Hope it's alright. Thanks, nice & helpful tutorial by the way.
Thank you for the tips
You look it look so easy to me..
Every Time I contour my face and I mess it up.
Could you maybe do a tutorial for girls with a mix of a round and heart shape face? Also some suggested hair cuts?
its suppose to do before moisture and foundation or later application of foundation?
So helpful. I'm going to do this for prom. Thanks!
If she had a circle face wouldn't you not avoid contouring the forehead.., it doesn't help?
Victoria Ma agreed! I felt like her face looked even more round in the after pic. Not that that's unflattering but usually those who want to contour their face do it for more definition so that it doesn't look as round
They looked the same after countouring ?
wowww thats amazing thank you
did you put foundation first before contouring and highlighting the face?
great job
I have a square face and struggle to contour... but tbh watching the video I don't even think I particularly need to! Didn't see that much of a impact of contouring on the square face, anyone else think this or just me?
SECOND CHICK : forget the damn contour.. fix them brows
The brows don't need to be "fixed" they were sparse at the time due to hair loss and not filled in for the video... Don't be so hateful, I wasn't able to fill them in to look "normal". Sincerely girl #2

Is it possible to have a mixed face shape? :3
Everyone should know the face shape... It will help to get a perfect look...
Thank You for the information
amazing wow so good I really like it
melissa's eyebrows are kinda scary lol
Can you make a list of the products used? Especially the blush.
Can you please make a full makeup totorial including contoring, base, eye shades, lipstick
The first girl is Oval, not round and so do the Third girl is also oval with a little bit pointy chin. she is not square.
Barber: whatchu want
Mellissa: Give me them disney channel villain eyebrows
Barber: got u fam
What a great video! :) Keep up the good content ;) Hugs xoxox

Rien d'impressionnant !
thank you
That last girl's face was nothing close to square ))
Yeah, and the first one's face is nowhere near being rounded ..I don't get this video :D
It don't think they meant an actual square. Often, square and rectangular face shapes are interchangeable because they have harsh edges (exactly the opposite of the round face shape)
I agree.. square face has "squarish" or prominent jaws
I have a square face so I know what you mean, the last girl´s face was definitely not a square. Normally one tries to but a darker shadow on the jawbones to slim it down when contouring.
Anika Dewan yupp...pretty much the same as a square but longer :)
How about long faces? It may not be difficult but its still nice to see the technique.
Very successful experience
Hey guys! I just made a contouring video.... I have a heart-shaped face, but good for anyone who want to learn how to contour and highlight! :D
can you show how you would do a fuller round face, and eyes behind glasses, especially heavy upper eyelids. i am filipino, and it is hard to do makeup on my eyelids when it hangs over so i usually use just eyeliner
The makeup artist hair is bomb
I saw no change in the round face method to be honest... pretty sad because i came here looking for help on contouring and highlighting a round face structure :/
what kind of blush you have used...
it's the same technique for all three?
that second chick's eyes browse were killing me!!!
me: * clicks on the video for advice *
* reads the comments *
*"Aight so I'mma head out"*
Thanks a lot ❤😊
what products did she use?
wonderfull
when I saw the thumbnail I thought they were the same person so I was like, damnn how she do that??
Me too
i have square shape.. but i don't like it.. can you give some tips..
+zikashika flora Get a good haircut for the shape of your face. Not all the paint in the face. Doesn't make a difference anyway and looks stupid at day time!
yeah, i am not sure which hair cut will looks good on me, in the video a girl with round face have one sided hair, i have that kind of style.
كم ك
this video is sooo unhelpful! I recommend to anyone Wayne Goss! He knows what he's doing
I don't really see much of a difference.
what blush is that!
The last girl looks waayy much better and younger without the makeover.
Excelente , participando con Anastassia, Venezuela!!
I think they look better in the Before Picture!
