I wish they would demonstrate contouring on a round face instead of one that's already thin & defined...that would be more helpful. Then we can really see if these techniques work.

Totally agree with you. Just like tgey sell the instant face lufts..u know the tapes and for jowls too. I got some and notuce a difference but tapes aren't sticking like they should. I wished they'd shown a 60 year old with wrinkles not a woman who's obviously had work done.

I went to cosmetology school and, although I ultimately decided to become a web developer (weird twist I know lol), I still love makeup and I do it as a side gig for a small group of clients.
With that said, I understand people's concern that the tips in this video may not work on different faces. It's an understandable concern, but what I'd say is that this video shows a very general/basic contouring and highlighting routine that can work for the majority of faces. However, you can tweak it to be tailored to fit the individual by keeping in mind the idea of highlighting what you want more of (increase) and contouring what you want less of (decrease), using your face's bone structure to guide you.
Totally understand these weird twists. I 'was' a nurse. Got bit by the coding bug later than most people. Dabbled with photography and now learning how to contour faces (albeit via digital retouching). Fun ride lol

did she apply a foundation? a primer maybe? or just directly applied the countouring cream and highlight? coz it was so simple and easy plus the model really lucky to have a natural beauty!

It looks like he takes away the full brown from her face back to the sponges 😂 because on her cheeks you see at the end only the blush rouge instead of contouring 😂

The model already has perfect skin. What about those of us who have to wear foundation? Doesn’t the foundation get messed up when you blend these products?

I like the video but wish the model was older. There's quite a few of us women who came up in the 90's who are just getting into makeup because of age. Those of us who make up was taught to us by women who bought just cover up. We used powders. Things we can't use now. We are interested. We'd just like to see ourselves in videos more. I know I'd buy more products if shown how to use them on more mature skin

what is the colour of the white contour ?and what the brands??
I'm not a big fan of putting all those in my face. It feels like I'm wearing a mask. I sweat a lot on my nose and I wipe it constantly, so, after half an hour, my face would look like half painted and half pancaked on 😁, so using that is a big no no to me. My question is, is there another alternative?

I will like to point out that this model's face without any makeup is already pretty symmetrical , young and "good looking" in today's beauty standards . There is no need for her to contour anything on her face. I've never like the concept of contouring since it implies that a face needs to be slim down to mirror European facial attributes that many women simply do not have. It's also a way to place insecurities on women, like our original faces aren't pretty enough. It's consumerism to get you to buy products that are supposed to make you look "pretty." In addition, all the chemicals in the makeup are not good for you not matter what the label states.

why not simply make the face up and then contour with a darker color? the blend can be done afterwards. this gives us the power to control the amount of brown contour powder.

They should of ended with a before and after.
I know this has been said but the model does have like the perfect face for this. It still did help to make it seem "simple" just as a mind trick for those of us who over complicate everything.
