Culture Club - God Thank You Woman

This was the first music video I worked on, and what an experience! Shot at Isleworth Studios (now gone) and directed by Steve Barron - a very nice guy and (unknown to him) an inspiration to those of us fresh out of film school.
This video should have been so much better. We went to a lot of effort lining up shots using an MX50 vision mixer on set. In those days we had to get it right In Camera - but still needed that chinagraph pencil! I think they ran out of money or something - the rotoscoping is laughable!. Still, it has a certain charm now.
Fun (and so very strange) to see it again now.
