My neighbor bought a Cybertruck. He upgraded from a Model y. I drive a tesla model 3. I looked at his cybertruck closely. It looks cool, but the sharp edges and poor construction is shocking. Panels are gapes, etc. The interior is really cool. This could be used as a police car. I wouldn’t buy it. With my OCDs, I would forever be looking at the gaps and flaws, driving me crazy! LOL. My neighbor loves it. Happy for him. Like the Blade Runner look of the truck. My favorite movie.
I actually value the honest reporting on Tesla including the bad news. They've done a lot of great engineering - but they are far from perfect. Always look forward to your podcast - keep up the good work Joe!
“Universal plug and charge” Thank you! Finally! I’ve been waiting for this to finally happen. The most annoying thing for me has always been the fact that so many chargers exist, but I can’t use most of them without countless apps and adapters.
Tesla didn’t invent the NACS connector, an independent engineering firm did and allowed Tesla to adopt it for their cars. It’s easily the best connector, which is why it’s becoming the standard, which we need.
re: "Tesla becomes national charging standard..." ...just in time for both NACS and CCS to eventually be made OBSOLETE by Wireless Charging. because: Copper Theft, ADA Compliance, and Convenience are a "thing" (even though we love pretending that they're not).
Cybertruck is a niche product, not a general alternative to the workmanlike trucks that the American market loves so much. For a few it’s probably perfect, but it’s unsuitable for the vast majority of truck owners. Still, having said that it certainly generated huge publicity for Tesla, provided a proving ground for new ideas and will probably make a profit. Musk has achieved exactly what he stated at the outset; to speed up the transition to full electrification. It’s not unstoppable.
Very good video! I have USDT in my OKX wallet and I have my recovery phrase. {pride}-{pole}-{obtain}-{together}-{second}-{when}-{future}-{mask}-{review}-{nature}-{potato}-{bulb} How do I transfer them to Binance?

"Upgrade" is a strong word.

It’s been a real barrier to adoption.
Most informative video from Electrek. Thanks.
Loved my Miata, that would be a cool addition to have an electric one.

Which independent firm is that?
Watch Trump claim credit for the NACS standard and universal plug & charge.
The anti-EV Republican base will rush and buy EVs. Teslas! In 4 years from now, USA will be 100% EV!
TDS has rotted your brain ❤❤❤
If the only tool you have is a hammer. Everything looks like a nail huh?
He wouldn’t understand what it is. He didn’t even take credit for the vaccine. It’s one of the few things he accomplished.
😂

'eventually' being the key phrase
That would be awesome.

100%, but I think they really believed they'd sell 100,000+ per year, which just isn't gonna happen.
A plug is not technology
A spark plug is not a plug.
