While it might not be a normal sinking ship this was too good not to show! What should we do next?
Please you haven't done Titanic or Brittanic in sooo long please do it one more time
Do a Air Force plane that went down overseas and recover it
YEAH TITANC PLSSSSSS
Redo the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald!
Think the largest ship ever made If you can find the the ship the seawise giant, go ahead
So this is actually my favorite time period when it comes to naval stuff and I find that a lot of people really don't cover it as much as they do later propellers like the four stackers and stuff like that.
The funny thing about the paddle steamers is that they had first class and then you had steerage you didn't have second class at all second class came later. This period of passenger shipping is long forgotten and to me it is the most beautiful of them because it's that perfect transitional era where sale is slowly being figured out that it is no longer useful.
But the funny thing is is they put sales on these paddle ships and even some of the yearly propeller ships because the captains and all still didn't really trust this new steam method as a viable method for getting across the ocean so they would pack these sails on the ships just in case the engines gave out.
But as I said this era of vessel is just so beautiful and then the early propeller ships are just so elegant and so much more prettier than the four stackers like Titanic Olympic Britannic Lusitania Mauritania all those vessels I've heard so much about that every time I hear their name it makes me want to vomit anymore. I personally think the last great ocean liner even though it was more of a cargo vessel than it was a passenger liner actually didn't have first class was the RMS Carpathia.
I could not agree more, I do prefer the S.S. Atlantic though, she only sank due to an incompetent crew and a bad storm, but the Teutonic and the New York were also great ships, built in a time of peace and used for war, and eventually replaced by the bigger, and newer ships, it is a tragedy that people didn't care to preserve the older ships like the famous New York.
@@TrevorStovall-xr4kn I personally find that I like the original Britannic those are really beautiful ships I like the way they look.
But I will always say that the most majestic ships are the paddle steamers. I mean you got to think about it the cruise of these vessels had a harder time because of the fact that in a storm the paddles were coming in and out of the water so they're having to shift course all the time to try and keep the ship on course instead of going off course.
And the most famous paddle steamer of them all is the Great Eastern and that thing was the biggest vessel around until either the Olympic or it was a vessel before that I'm pretty sure it was the Olympic that eventually broke the record of biggest vessel.
I play stormworks all the time and a lot of GBdanner's ships are paddle steamers and then there's like the one to one scale versions of the Celtic and two others. I absolutely love running them because of the fact that it is a bygone era and nobody talks about it anymore.
There's a guy on here that's called ocean liner designs and all this guy talks about is Lusitania Olympic Titanic Marta and all of those vessels and I have begged him several times to stop with that and go back to where passenger liners first began which was with the paddle steamers. But nobody cares even he doesn't care enough about paddle steamers to do videos on them.

This is so cool. And she is indeed a Paddlewheel Steamship that is a hybridization of both sail and steam.
I do believe that most paddle steamers had that sail set up. Shoot even the beginning propeller ships had sales on them.
The Carpathia a vessel built in like a time where Cunard needed a vessel that can haul cargo and passengers had sales before they took them off.
And the funny thing is is the reason they kept sales for so long is because of the fact that the captains and the people that were building the ships didn't think that the steam engine was going to be reliable enough to actually move a vessel so they put sales on them in case the engines would screw up.
It's just so cool knowing that all of this stuff what's Diane because of people being so skeptical of steam and now we've went from using steam to burning diesel fuel and now we're in nuclear power.

That’s a typical river boat design from the mid to late 1800s so it wasn’t really made to take ocean sized waves, that also explains the rudder design and the paddle drive system
In the late 1800s, paddle ships typically used steam engines as their power system. These steam engines drove paddle wheels to propel the ship through the water. This form of propulsion was widely used during that time period and played a significant role in the development of maritime transportation. If you would like more detailed information on this topic, feel free to ask!
There was a paddle ship carrier planned but it didn’t really go well
@@CASA-dy4vs but still in use today so it went better than expected but was better then sailing with sails depending on air pressure and currents
I remember the old wrecks and ghost ship videos, those were great times...
I got two unskippable ads for this this better be good…
I mean I don’t have control what TH-cam puts on the video 🤣
That’s TH-cam champ
Good video
I deserve a shout out first like and first comment love u camodo
The style of ships at the time was sail ships and funnel steam paddles
Yeah it's a paddle steamer. In 1855 steam on vessels was incredibly new and not very good. So most ships until around the 1880s had sails just for that extra speed
Sink Olympik❤

This thing was BEFORE TITANIC! TITANIC IS ONE OF THE OLDEST SHIPS!

I'm familiar with the Titanic Era and Present Era 😂
Plz pin me also first
The steam engine would power the paddle wheels yes. I don’t know enough to know why it would also have sails.
The sails were to give it some extra speeds when the wind were right, Or if the engine failed. (Yes im the creator of the ship)
@@RandomStuffUploadedOffical nice great job on it. I was kinda thinking, for like open seas to save fuel.
Hi

Hi Camodo I’m a big fan
Poor ship
Hello keep up the good work Camodo!
Oh yeah sure, prepare to launch the lifeboats while the ship is being outright smashed hard against the rocks in the middle of a horrific storm... that totally went entirely to plan for everyone on the SS Atlantic in 1873... ig history has inevitably repeated itself once again... loved the vid btw!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but are there no transport missions in the game?
Like people and their luggage and other cargo. Since people build liner after liner, and that the most popular ships in the game are liners (though not for themselves, but for their sinkings)... why don't developers add this?
Transport mission. There already are some dangerous elements like tsunamis, rogue waves, whirlpools and so on (at least i guess? are they mods?). Maybe you have missions in which you have to ferry people from a point to a point but you have to survive something. Though i know the game was born as a rescue missions game. Maybe some rescue missions with the liner, haha.
I really don't know much about the game, and i'm thinking about buying it. Let me know if i sayed something wrong :)
