Uncle Soon is the best fried rice in whole of KL in terms of price and taste. You can never go wrong. They are hands down the champion of fried rice. But the fried rice at Grand Imperial was surprising to me. For the portion its actually quite worth it. I thought that the food will be super expensive in those kind of restaurant but after seeing you order it, I think its pretty reasonable considering the portion and environment.
yes, i think grand imperial would be ideal for year end gathering with friends and family 😄
With uncle Roger's whirlwind popularity, I think patrons should also know what they deserved, it's sensible and fair to make comparison amongst the eateries clustered at the same area..

Uncle Roger is a joke. He is a comedian so don't expect much from his restaurant. In fact many people want to see how long can his restaurant last 😅
😅 it's not that bad, but there are many competitions around
A lot of restaurant owner wasn't a chef or have decades of cooking experience. Most of them just have money and they hiring top chef or experience chef to be the main cook for their restaurant. Uncle Roger is one of them. It's funny that you think every single restaurant was own by a experience chef.
Also another funny people that want to see how long uncle roger restaurant can last. These people that really want to see him fail is obviously jealous and what a disgusting human being who want to see other people fail. Little that you all know, he probably get back almost of his capital on his restaurant. If he close down his restaurant in next 1 or 2 month, he didn't lose anything but only gaining experience.

Hi Nic! Great interesting video this round. Took me my surprise but fantastic. Your top 5 choices were excellent. Just wanna let you know that Grand Prosperity Cafe in Wisma Cosway is super popular among office workers in the Golden Triangle and their food is very good yet highly affordable. On separate note, Serai's food are all above average and good. Madam Kwan is known for Nasi Bojari and Din Tai Fung known for noodles, wanton and dumpling. Definitely not fried rice.

The food from Serai is above average and worth the price. Most other Chinese restaurants put the price like slaughterhouses. Uncle Soon fried rice is Ok but the rice is breakapart too much.

I already stop looking for TH-camrs reviewing UR fried until i saw this video. I have to say the first not biased review especially plan the time to do a review without complaining have to wait long time.
Anyway after i watch this video, one question comes into my mind. Many people say Uncle Soon fried rice better but may i know does uncle soon use pork lard on the fried rice? If he did then we already have the winner. So it's kinda unfair to compare fried rice between with and without using pork lard.
hey there, thank you for watching. regarding pork lard, i can not confirm it because we did ordered the one with char siew, so naturally there are nice porky aroma in it. 😋
@Nick_catman no worries. That question just came to my mind and I asked. For us Chinese at some point we can compare things for example the two fried rice between fried rice that uses pork lard Vs uncle roger fried rice which is halal fried rice.

嚇死我咯，六個鐘食11碟炒飯，真係做咗''飯桶''咯🤭😅🤣😜 肯定食到肚漲漲。咁多間之中，我净係食過uncle soon，鼎泰豐，大茶點，village roast duck嘅炒飯，大茶點嘅火腩辣椒仔炒飯最好食，但可惜你哋唔食辣嘅，呢個應該唔啱你哋，睇嗰張village roast duck嘅單注明(不要辣)(不要辣)两次就知道你哋麻麻地食辣🤭😅爲咗拍片而要食咁多炒飯，真係辛苦哂了，會唔會短期内都唔再食炒飯啊? 😅🤭
大茶店最令我surprise, 平時走過都不會看兩眼，因為係一般cafe，結果味道還不錯！
