My son who is 10 is really into movies from the 80s and 90s. Back to the Future 3 is actually what made him Young Guns. He asked me a couple weeks ago if there were any movies about the Old West like in BTTF 3. I showed him this trailer and every day after he is done with his homework he watches this movie. Think he as seen it at least 10 times in 2 weeks.

In real life, the avadavat signed by the Regulators who were there, said that on the way back to Lincoln with Baker and Morton, they got a hold of Mcloskys gun and killed him and then the Regulators killed them. In reality, well after the incident, it was said when they decided to kill Baker and Morton, Mclosky objected and Frank Mcnabb shot him. Mclosky was the only one to reject the exectuion decision and Mcnabb did not want to loose any of the other guys votes, so he just killed him. This is more likely to have been what happened as Mcnabb was the Co Leader by this point and quick tempered. I have never found any credible info that he was reporting anything back to Murphy or Dolan, or spying in general for that matter.
The last 50 seconds felt very powerful for some reason, shot extremely well with the music going along with it. Probably my favorite scene in the movie
Unpopular opinion, but I stick to my guns: best western of all times, and that's no dis to the early origins of Hollywood, nor to Wayne, Eastwood, all the great studios and directors. (Yes, I HAVE seen Tombstone, calm yer horses). It's just my opinion. I happen to favor the likes of sub-genre westerns like ''The Quick and the Dead'', the crossover "Back to the Future III", Zorro, and so on. The writing and casting for Young Guns I and II was just off the charts.
I recently watched Tombstone for the first time (I saw Young Guns years ago as a kid, owned the VHS). Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday gave an Oscar worthy performance. Other than that tho, I didn't see anything too special about it. I like Young Guns much better.
Great scene, great cast, and performances by all. For a western, it is 'the best' I own 1 & 2, and I'm not really a western fan. Only westerns I like, are 'Young Guns' 1 & 2, and 'Tombstone'

An excellent way to develope kiefers character from being soft (him writing poems etc) to being more tough and determined, you see the change of his face, he almost starts to wheep for Mcclouskey, instead he looks resolute at the end. (Determined to actually go to the Chinese girl and convince her to leave with him, where at start he could barely muster the courage to invite her to dance)
No,Doc supported Billy's killing Mcclouskey. "He was right. He was acting strange." To paraphrase it. I say he was pitying himself looking at that man's body in the river. He life has took a worse turn than before.
he rode with the dirty underwear gang out of liberty missoura so i think he was not soft from the beginning. he didn't write poems he copied other peoples poems. he was a gang member. and his real life wife was mexican not chinese.
Docs expression afterwards says it all. And as soon as Billy shoot McCloskey in the face, Billy has no regard for Docs safety what so ever. It's a scene that tells you just how unpredictable Billy can be.

Poor Doc boy was he standing in the wrong spot when I first saw this I thought he was injured and its sad that he cried but it was them or one of them and I would rather be one of those than possibly him
