Cable horror takes me back to an IT support job where they'd retired most of their Ethernet cables and dumped them in two piles in the cupboard. Not small piles, together enough to reach my knees. I sorted the entire lot into separately knotted cables. I avoided sorting out the rest of the stuff after trying to organise it, but mostly just moving it around. Stay away from IT departments after an office move. Funny part was the bottle of green shower gel and Carl Sagan novel randomly in there too.
I love that he considers tidying up procrastinating, while I'm doing everything I can to avoid having to call my doctor and check when my next appointment is 😅

For Work Experience recently, I went to a Production Studio. And instead of learning how to edit or film, ect.. for the most part they literally just made us coil and rearrange cables. Multiple boxes and draws of cables. I had no idea what they cables did or what they were used for too, which made it much more fun. So I feel your pain, PJ c;
when you were like trigger warning with the box of cables i was like "oh psh its not gonna be that bad- OH MY GOODNESS." it just reminded me of when i used to play in a band and we had a box filled with mic wires, guitar wires, random wires... oh goodness the memories.. but it must feel so amazing to see it all organized and all tidy and such :)
