If you look close you will see that on all the 40 caliber guns the takedown pin is sticking out the right of the frames side too far, which can tear clothing and leather. It doesn't seem to be as bad on some of the 9mm frames.
They are all the same length. The SP2340 and the 2009 frame are different and don't have the indentation to easily push the take down lever. The only one that's a hair longer is the early low serial number SP2340. Of the two SP2340 I have, the one I bought in the 90's has a low serial number in the 2k and has a longer pin. The second one serial number is in mid 14k and has the exact pin of the current models.
@@katanapr3 The early 2022 9mm I had used a shorter pin and did not extend out of the frame.....the later ones do, but my real point was that pin is too long by extending out of the frame, and can cut against clothes, holster leather, and other items. There is the possibility of cutting your hand. Surely, you must notice this? I have thought about filing off about 1/16 of an inch.
Great Sig Pro collection with all the calibers, optics, and even overseas manufacture complete with the accessories to maximize their purpose of use. SP 2022 is a proven, dependable, and more affordable Sig Sauer. Hope you find your diamond cut slide one day. Thanks much katanapr3!
@@aftermath2333 it is a great gun that flys under the radar. Not a lot of people know about them. Thanks for visiting the channel, I greatly appreciate it!
@@aftermath2333 the trigger does give you a better feel but it makes no difference in the travel or performance. The trigger still brakes all the way back at the end of the travel, and still have that huge take up before the wall. You just gave me an idea for a video. I will compare the triggers on them.

@@katanapr3does that trigger make a difference if only the slide release lever was a bit shorter.
