Excellent video, would be great if there was a video like this for the seals between the window itself and the upvc... mine have perished, not sure if they can also be replaced?
Yes they probably could,i put my Windows in approximately 20 years ago and the upvc all come pre cut and mitered. And you had to click them in place. If you took a piece of upvc to a window manafacturer and ask them where you could purchase the seals
I thought maybe I needed to do this, so as I inspect my window I do not have that type of seal. so scratch that, but excellent vid, may I suggest that black clip on the arms top and bottom, will release the window then taking the screws out
Thats strange i haven't seen upvc Windows without a gap to push the seal onto. I would purchase some draught excluder stick on type to overcome the problem
What i would do is pull a small section out,and cut off a piece with a utility knife, then measure the profile, then you can check out the internet or local diy to see if they have similar. On my Windows i purchased a universal seal,as long as the base of the seal that fits in the upvc groove is the same it should be ok
Its a simple job,i would do it yourself if you are able too.im not sure what people charge. I always try and do everything myself to save money you get great satisfaction.

Thankyou 👍
It was a decent day today so replaced the seals on my patio doors.
👍🔥
Why the little gap down the bottom of the inner seal?
Probably so when you close the window it allows a bit of compression
The seals on mine don't seem to be in a gap and look kind of glued on, iv took some out and now have a gap but no space to slot it into

Unless the gap is gunked up, I will re check thanks for replying 👍

How much will I expect to pay someone to do this for my bedroom window

Is this why window make noise in the wind
Yes if it whistling a bit ,that will be the cause
I wouldnt use wd40 on the hinges. It drys out and they will corrode quicker. You're better off using silicon grease, or even vaseline on the hinges.
Silicon spray would be good, but Vaseline may attract the dirt
brilliant video, thanks.
Thankyou I hope it's helped you👍
Thanks
🤩
Thanks.
👍
Which spray was that ?
Wd40 or any similar rust penetration spray.👍
